+TheCriticChicken Regardless of the effect that it had on pubs, comeback gold has all but killed any competitive aura dota used to have. Dying meant a lot more, because you couldn't get that back so easily. A lost game can't be saved from a single teamfight that gave 3k gold to an underfarmed hero. Has it made pubs any better, sure, but surprisingly not by much. A quitter will always be a quitter, comeback gold or no. It just feels like comeback gold has kind of ruined the super competitive nature that made dota feel so special compared to other mobas, these days it's all about picking a hero you feel like playing. Essentially nothing changed when comeback gold was introduced in regards to quitters, it just ruined that good ol' rough n tough feel the game used to have. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the great, level headed response! I think I need to reiterate that I don't hate comeback gold all together, I think it was a great idea, but the mechanic is WAY too huge right now. Having the stress of not allowing the enemy team to slam you early game was part of the strategy, and while I agree that it was definitely way too difficult to catch up to at that point, having 1k gold rewards for heroes with those leads is not the answer. Rather, I feel that comeback gold is a welcome mechanic as long as kills remain in the 200-600 gold range, maybe 700 max. While on the topic of gold economics, hero kill gold should probably be lowered in general or creep bounty increased, because these days creating space for a carry doesn't actually tend to allow them to get richer than if they fight, get 1 kill on a hero with more net worth and die, repeat throughout the game. That is a huge problem, and it was implemented to shorten games when they could have just increased gold/exp across the board. Maybe I'm analyzing this wrong, but like you said it's just an opinion.

I feel I have waste my time, lol seems you have no idea at all. You never play real game I think. A support es max fissure cause it has more dmg and long stun duration. And fissure doesnt need es to come close to enemy. He doesnt need at all max 2nd skill more than once early game cause he is just a support, cant even come near enemy during fight unless he is ready to die after blink in and ulti.
