Funny, I just saw the video highlight of this game on the DPlus Kia channel. From what I understand this was Showmaker's last game of the day, and he'd played everything else already so was like "screw it, lethality cait mid, let's go". So yeah, don't expect this to be a regular thing or a pro game pick. Let's be honest here, this close to the new season unless they are going to challenger or rank 1, the pro players are taking it easy, having fun with weird picks or even just not playing ranked at all. Once the new season begins we'll see exactly what's happening with the meta.

I’m honestly surprised Cait mid wasn’t already being played more by any player. Range is absurd, Dmg is still absurd, ult still hasn’t been fixed- can one shot people with armor and health built (not full tanks obv) with one ability that’s semi-global, absolutely crazy and she still has more tools to help her. TLDR if you space and kite right Cait is not fair to play against…..
