I attended the Spanish school twice and both were wonderful experiences! At one point, when I went to the downtown area, to go to the bank, my mind was so immersed in Spanish, I started to speak to the bank employee in Spanish and as I was doing so, I was also thinking in Spanish as well! It was so surreal!

I'm confused. I received an M.A from the French School in 1973.It was very difficult to be admitted to the Masters program, you needed 8 preliminary weeks on the Vermont campus, then a year abroad and had to be practically bilingual in the target language in order to get in.The letter of intent had to be in the target language, as well.

It seems a lot of the students are college-aged. Do you also get older students? Do you have vegan food options? What percentage of students stay off-campus? Do you help find housing off-campus? Thanks.

Grad students can do the language program too. There's also an MFA program for Modern Languages. Give it a go! :)

Notice... nothing demonstrating students using Arabic. A language pledge for Arabic would be a nightmare unless the student had already spent at least a year or two in the Arab World.

I've also heard the Arabic course is terrible.

If anyone is interested in learning Arabic, I could put them in contact with my Arabic teacher from Nazareth. We do Skype sessions a few times a month for $20/hour.

how could you learn faster than if you immerse yourself IN the country ONLY with locals? not possible....... 🤨I spent 3 months in France with a French family and started to dream in French after 2 weeks ( of course I already spoke French)
