Middle grade novels are super underrated, they deserve so much love! Even if they were supposed to be written for kids, I think adults also need to read middle grade books too. From a 20-year-old who still loves middle grade books

I will 100% agree with you on Casper (Devon Sawa) had such a crush on him as well. I was like 14 when his movies came out but yeah, he was so cute back then lol. Those books sound great. I'm currently reading the third book in the Trains to Impossible Places trilogy. Pretty good so far. Will be reading Amari next. I really want to read The Hatmakers, but it's kind of expensive, even on Amazon, so I'm hoping for a sale.

OH my word. Fighting Words was in my top 3 books of last year. It was phenomenal. Such an important read. But yes, lots of tough subjects including sexual abuse, bullying, foster care and attempted suicide. However, I think these are conversations that need to be had even with middle grade kids. I wouldn't put in the hands of just any middle grader, but would enourage moms/parents to read it first and then with their kiddos. Ugh. It's just so good!

Have you ever read The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare or Ghosts I Have Been by Richard Peck? They are two of my favorites. What are you currently reading? 📚
@enchantedadventuresthrough30653 жыл бұрын
I read Amari and was not that into it. I was disappointed. The House at the Edge of Magic I've been wanting and it's on my Amazon US cart right now but for some reason it keeps disappearing. I just put it back on it. Weird. It's possibly gonna be bought before next year because maybe it's disappearing because it's sold from a 3rd party and they keep changing the seller? Who knows. I didn't notice the seller before now so not sure if that's the case. It shouldn't do this, though. Love Sugar Magic I may end up picking up. It intrigues me now. The Unmapped Chronicles is another I wanna read but I saw different versions of it that I don't know which one to buy. I need to do my research on this one. I'm excited about reading this series. Eva Evergreen, I wanna read this so badly! It looks so cute and I'm so glad I forced myself to buy a copy right away. Got it a few days ago. I should be reading The Hatmakers in July because I decided to read the faves of some BookTubers *now*. I can only do this with a few books because I don't have all the books physically or on audio yet (and saving for the big haul in March). One day I'll probably do a whole month of reading books by my faves to see which one has recommended the best stuff. The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise I read and gave it 5 stars. I absolutely loved this story and I hope that my nephews and niece read it and love it even more than I did, if at all possible! The Thieves of Weirdwood sounds interesting. I need to remember to add it to the cart. The Spirit of Cattail County I have never heard of but it's in my cart now. Can't wait for the big haul next year!! I loved Casper, too. It was with Christina Ricci. I don't know how many times I watched this movie back in the day! It was one of my favorites. Strangeworlds as well I wanna read. Maybe soon if I can find this. I think this is one of the books with different versions on Amazon and I can't figure out which one to get. I also need to do research on this one. You're lucky to have such a big space to have bookshelves. I will only be able to have 2 small walls of bookshelves and depending on the size of these, I may or may not be able to add too many books to them. We'll see what ends up happening. I'm hoping to be able to get the shelves for the living room and bedroom at the same time but my brother still needs to measure the wall of the bedroom. I don't expect them before the new year at this point. Maybe I'll be lucky, though.
