As I type this, I am 52 year old metalhead who finds great pleasure in quality music from all genres. Every once in a while (and not often enough), a song will show up in one of my various feeds that wakes the youth inside me from a ever deepening slumber and says "It is time to wake up again. No such thing. There's a food and land glut ! The planet is mismanaged and perhaps one of my offspring will be such a free thinker that they may contribute a solution. Two edged sword. There is not enough land for 14 billion people, and thusly it will cause a chain of mass deforestation to try and get more land. It doesn't help that our medicines are getter stronger and stronger. Old people are dying much slower and if we end up in nursing homes, we can not contribute to society and we'll need more and more space. If you want kids, adopt them. There are waaay too many children already in adoption centers. If you adopt you get to help a child without a home, aswell as get to not contribute to overpopulation.

Perhaps they will take your suggestion on board as a great choice. Thankyou for your contribution , it is already making me think in a positive manner whilst also putting humanity first.

I think this guy was referring to the video, clearly a relationship set in the 80s or early 90s and he was feeling nostalgic. I'm not having kids myself and part of that reason is an environmentally conscious one but I'm not about to dictate to anyone how many kids they have. Try speaking to those countries with bigger population problems than Australia.
