I like the midbunks that have a door to the living area. You can let the littles play there without worrying they're going to head out the door, if you don't want them to. I have to say you nailed the reason we want a midbunk. We have a 24 year old son with Down syndrome who brings so much stuff camping! He needs a place for his stuff; we need it to be out of our way. And the bunkhouse in the back seems to close in the living space too much. This also gives us the option of bringing the grands and letting him have the loft or using as a craft area if he doesn't go with us. Lots of options. This really is a great design. Kudos to Keystone.

I like the midbunk. I'd have the door facing entrance with a pocket door, and the option of flip up/down shelves to put down a book or laptop and use the doorway as an office space. Also in mid bunk, have sailors bunk above couch. Love the sunroof and big window in the loft and panoramic window next to door. I love this midbunk layout. We currently have a 2019 Cougar 29BHS and love it! I love having the 2nd door that opens to the bathroom that gives us access to the back of the camper when the slide is closed. The thing I love about this midbunk is the separate room for a guest. There was a time we had 2 non-married adults stay with us and the sleeping arrangements were less than stellar. This midbunk would solve that. However, I feel like I would lose the night stands we currently have next to our king bed. My husband has a cap. The seating in the midbunk would be much better than what we currently have. We would also lose our outdoor mini fridge and kitchen storage space. It's just a give and take.

Entry from kitchen is the best of the configurations. With entry off the hall, the desk is shorter, reduced cabinet/storage, smaller tv size. Additionally, when the room is in sleeping mode (trifold sofa open into a bed) with the hall door config, the door hits the bed and you have to squeeze in to close the door.

💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 a king bed option in the Cougar 5th wheel. What happened? I just LOVE Cougar‼️‼️ You are SO awesome, Josh, so happy to hear it’s got a a stand alone dining table. 💃🏻 Ooo, and I have to say I really like that there is a window near the stove. I like the extra natural lighting there. I like the door off the kitchen because then you get a longer desk space and more storage all that. My husband would use this space as his music room where he can play his guitars without listening to me making noise or when I’m watching a movie. Love the shower with the seat and the bathroom counter top. It’s all good in there. You guys are super about outfitting a second air in the bedroom. That’s a must for me. Oooo, I like the little corner cabinet in the closet. I like that the outlets are up and easy to access as you said. And I like that there are breeze through windows on each side of the bed. All that sleeping areas are fantastic. Love the dual awnings. This unit is just perfect especially with a stand alone dining room. Like the griddle outside and the more ride steps. The stinky slinky storage is appreciated. I like the color combo for the exterior. Jeez, just everything’s just FINE. Inversion groove.. FANTASTIC!! At first I would have said off the kitchen, but now that I've seen some other layouts (like the Grand Design midbunk 378MBS) I would definitely say off the hallway/main entry so you don't have to sacrifice more potential kitchen storage on the wall. Now that I've seen it that way, I can't un-see the lost storage potential.
@JoshtheRVNerd3 жыл бұрын
I feel that way as well. Personally mid-room entry from the hallway makes the most sense, but I think it depends on what you're attempting to accomplish Mid-room entry off the kitchen typically allows for more of a "bonus room / office / den" function in there vs. focus on the kitchen. I guess it just depends on how you camp

You’re a good candidate for a suspension assist. You should be right about at your payload max so the extra stiffness will give you some nice ride support Also here’s a look at the 2022 updates

I would love to see a RV Manufacturer make a mid bunk that has an actual bed in it. Like a Murphy bed, so that a second adult can have a normal bed mattress. Sleeping full time on a fold out sofa is not comfortable

6:16 across from main entry door; this way it doesn’t’ cut down on kitchen storage (full pantry, coffee bar counter with storage above & below) or spread out layouts (sink, etc. placed there opening up cooking counter tops around stove/oven + a larger fridge)‼️ + easier travel access when slide is in as well 😉

I get why this floorpan is so popular, love it. My one and only complaint, in the bunk room, why they put those darn cabinets and floor vent below the desk/countertop area so you could actually use a rolling chair in that spots as desk space. With those bottom cabinets and floor vent, it's a no go. Easy Fix keystone, Fix that one.....

Will the factory modify the BH desk to remove the drawers so it can be used as an office desk?

I love the new style and it's a pretty good floorplan overall, but no nightstands is not only a functional but an aesthetic negative for me. We would probably choose a queen for additional walk-around space -- so what does it look like with a queen? Do they actually put nightstands along both sides of the bed inside the slide (not on the face)? Also, do you know what is under that bed that makes the storage so shallow? Thanks for what you do!
@JoshtheRVNerd3 жыл бұрын
Queen doesn't add night stands, but room for them on either side. Eagle does a good job of that. Queens in an eagle DO get night stance.

We have a bunch of stats on this since we are actively researching midbunks for purchase in next 90days. For this one (cougar 368) you can get a teenager up there. 24” head clearance and if I remember correctly 600 pounds weight capacity. This cougar is a great price point for a mid bunk .. but for “our” needs we’re leaning towards the Jayco Northpoint 377rlbh (with 22” clearance) and/or the Cedar Creek 377bh with 26” clearance. The Montana HighCountry has 20” head clearance and would be very difficult for a teen.
