Maybe let your kids fail every once in a while. So many kids nowadays think the only reason they should do anything is "because mom says so". Maybe let them fail an assignment if they start it late. Maybe ask them to wash their clothes for a week and if they don't then they see what happens when they don't have any clean clothes laid on their bed by mom?
@wtfimcrying
@wtfimcrying 2 жыл бұрын
@@GT-tj1qg exactly, the only motivator a kid has to do well in school is their parents. so they just end up failing without their standards. what do you think will happen if a parent lets their kid fail? they realize how important education is and get on top of their grades? no they just fail.

@Man1narm0r I think what he was trying to say was to not pamper your kids and make sure they dont think they have mommy to protect them everytime they mess up due to something entirely their fault. Obviously still support your kid but they need to be independent and not rely on you for absolutely everything so that they can be a emotionally mature independent adult when they're older.

It’s the same way in high school, but your the kid and the parent, fighting yourself trying to decide if you should go because your parents no longer care.

Gees After having 5 teenagers I'm so glad I said at the very start....I've been to school, now school is your turn, your responsibility, you either get up and go and be smart or stay in bed and be stupid. It worked with them all. Never had to get them up. Never a morning drama. A friend who stayed over said... Why aren't you all yelling at each other like we do? 😂
