This song was written by a Tartar musician of the Crimean Khanate when he followed his Khan to the siege of Moscow during the Russo-Crimean war in 1571. He was amazed by the magnificent architecture of Moscow and thus composed this song to show his respect and admiration. However, after the Tartars and Turks raided the city, the musician felt so ashamed that he burned all of his music scores. Thanks to modern archeological advancement that we can hear it again today after more than 400 years.

Moscow Queen of the Russian land Built like a rock to stand Proud and divine Moscow your golden towers glow Even through ice and snow sparkling they shine And every night, night, night there is music Oh every night, night, night there is love And every night, night, night there is laughter Here's to you, brother hey brother ho Moscow Moscow Throw your glasses at the wall And good fortune to us all Ho ho ho ho ho, hey Moscow Moscow Join us for a casatchock We'll be dancing round the clock Ha ha ha ha ha, hey Moscow Moscow Drinking vodka all night long Keeps you happy, makes you strong Ho ho ho ho ho, hey Moscow Moscow Come and have a drink and then You will never leave again Ha ha ha ha ha Moscow City of mystery So full of history Noble and old Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Moscow There is a burning fire That never will expire Deep in your soul And every night, night, night there is music Oh every night, night, night there is love And every night, night, night there is laughter Here's to you, sister hey sister ho Moscow Moscow Throw your glasses at the wall And good fortune to us all Ho ho ho ho ho, hey Moscow Moscow Join us for a casatchock We'll be dancing round the clock Ha ha ha ha ha, hey Moscow... La la la la la la la, la la la la la la la Ho ho ho ho ho, hey Moscow... La la la la la la la, la la la la la la la Ha ha ha ha ha (SPOKEN) On those frosty days when icicles hang from the walls and the cold streets and squares are empty, When the roof of the Kremlin is covered by deep snow, and dawn itself seems to have frozen, then Moscow is asleep. But when night falls, there is a sound of laughter, the clink of glasses, filled with sparkling champagne, can be heard, and there is a song, dance and merry-making everywhere you go! Na zdorovje toravisch! Moscow, diamonds are dark by night and only candle light will make them shine Moscow, your heart is warm and strong. Beats out for everyone throughout the land Moscow! Moscow! Moscow Moscow Take Natasha in your arms, You'll be captured by her charms Ho ho ho ho ho, hey Moscow Moscow She will make you understand Russia is a wondrous land Ha ha ha ha ha Moscow Moscow And every night, night, night there is music Oh every night, night, night there is love And every night, night, night there is laughter Here's to you, brother hey brother ho Moscow Moscow Throw your glasses at the wall And good fortune to us all Ho ho ho ho ho, hey Moscow Moscow Join us for a casatchock We'll be dancing round the clock Ha ha ha ha ha, hey Moscow Moscow Drinking vodka all night long Keeps you happy, makes you strong Ho ho ho ho ho, hey Moscow Moscow Come and have a drink and then You will never leave again Ha ha ha ha ha, 🙂🎼🎵🎶
