US congresswoman Ilhan Omar grilled Columbia University President Nemat “Minouche” Shafik on Wednesday about protests on campus and the broader hostile environment faced by students during at a House committee hearing that discussed Columbia University’s response to antisemitism.
Omar said she was “appalled” to learn that Columbia University suspended and evicted six students for their involvement in pro-Palestinian panel events on campus.

It's very well for people like you judging sitting thousands of miles away, without an ounce of understanding of wider issues, just your narrow interests based agenda, but, those girls primary concern is being able to live, like everyone else. You start forcing cultural changes during already existing mess, you achieve nothing but further hardship for those you're trying to help. The West has gone through the various cultural evolutions from a position of prosperity, and relative peace, that's how most societies evolve, not during conflict. How about respecting human life, before crying about some entrenched cultural practices.
