Never seen this clip till now. Cheers for it & must admit it made the hairs on the back of my neck rise up (fuck all on my heed). I am in Somerset now but does remind me of the late 90's when I used to go home & away and eventually worked on the west stand upper on the door of the players lounge. Used to get to watch every home match & get paid for it....bonus for a boro red :-) ..... Met Gazza & spent most match days chatting with Jimmy 5 bellies, but a pretty small guy tbh, Andy Townsend, Paul Merson & his brother who used to put the bets on for him :-), Curtis Flemming (a genuine lovely bloke), Hamilton Ricard....(Nice guy but a wee bit D'oh but always smiling), Mark Schwarzer, Marlon Beresford & his superb father & brother who were fantastic company. Also met Viv Anderson (ignorant twat), Chris Waddle (nice guy) ....... etc etc .... the list is endless BUT the nicest person I EVER met 100% was Mr Brian Robson. In all honesty he was actually a pretty quiet guy & despite sometimes having to bollock the squad & sometimes hold them back in the dressing room, he always found the time to come up to myself & Arthur on the door and ask how we were & have a chat. Last ppl to leave, when they left we could leave, were Bernie & Alistair. Used to walk them down the stairs from the west stand upper & lock up after them. Bernie was always nice & polite but Ali was always beaming a smile, ask how we were, say Hi to Eric Paylor who was usually chatting away to us, and always appreciated every door we opened, every comment we made etc etc... May he R.I.P, a lovely man.

With the Championship season about to start, we need reminding of the feeling of promotion. An unbelievable feeling and the passion at The Riverside this game is honestly one of the best the ground has witnessed.
