Such a beautiful version. Epic. I've loved the original song on Quartet for over 35 years and this new arrangement gave a new life to the song. One of my top favourite by Ultravox and Midge.

I have bought Ultravox on vinyl as a school girl, then bought and Midge’s solo stuff on CD when I got my first CD player and finally after I lost my entire music collection in a fire, Midge, along with Queen were the first music to be downloaded from iTunes. My favourite Ultravox song ever Hymn, it was such a powerful song with a huge production that gave me goosebumps when I first heard it. I admit to wearing this track out on my first Album. This version is stunning and made me fall in love with Midge’s voice and music all over again.

Wow. I'm usually apathetic about acoustic or orchestral reworkings of established songs, but this is so beautiful and powerful. The orchestral treatment really suits the epic nature of the song. (The whole album is great too.)

As a child of the 60s and 70s who came after the "babyboomers", I have always looked upon this song as an anthem to all of us who was promised a better world utopia, after 2 World Wars a legacy made from hero's sacrifices for everyone, our futures really did look bright.....................thatcher and reagan destroyed all that.

The gawd of the bible killed 2,821,364 people. The devil only killed 10. The gawd of the bible sends those who doesn't believe in it to hell, the devil doesn't send anyone to his hell!!! The devil or lucifer is the first one to defy totalitarianism and the gawd of the bible hates his guts for it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
