It's been a while since I watched your videos, so I've been catching up. I almost forgot how much I enough your enthusiasm. Anyway, this video is so cool, fun, and helpful. I love the idea of those Halloween magazines. I really need to look into that. I'm very excited about the vampire trend, because I tend to do more of a Victorian Gothic inspired decor during Halloween, and vampire stuff fits right into that.

Same here! I am all about 30s/40s Halloween during prime decorating season, but my office is decked out in 80s/90s neon insanity all year long. Target released some pieces a few years back that fit in perfectly. It was a talking phone, a boom box, and an alarm clock that looked straight out of Aaaaahh!! Real Monsters.

Not sure about the fabrics. That trick-or-treater print looks like part of the retro style stock I’ve seen tucked in the back of the quilting fabrics all year in the Fullerton CA store. I think it might have been late to arrive last year, since I’ve been hearing a lot of such tales. I dunno. But it all had a simple, retro vibe, both in color and style. Got that googie thing goin’ on. Edit: commented too soon, clearly you have found the fabrics. Like I said, they’re either late stock or something they keep all year. I’ve seen them for months. Literally months. Also, I accept neon, just please… no more pastels and fruit. Ye gods. If they’re gonna go with 80s nostalgia can we get some Tim Burton stripes with acid green and purple?
