The reason you couldn’t get to the final part is because you have to beat all the bosses on regular simple is for practice and you don’t actually need to do the run & gun levels to beat the game

also here are all the boss phases orange missed since he set the difficulty to simple for cagney carnation he missed the part where cagney changes his face into a more scary face and he buries his hands underground to cover up two of the floating platforms for the root pack he missed the onion that cries if you hit him when he appears, but if you don't shoot him he will leave and release a turnip as the carrot appears for ribby and croaks he missed the phase where ribby rolls into croaks' mouth and they transform into a slot machine that dispenses various circular things when you parry the spin lever after dodging the coins that fly out of the coin slot. the machine is invincible when not dispensing anything for goopy le grande he missed the phase where goopy dies and his gravestone slides around behind cuphead's area and tries to fall onto you for hilda berg he missed the phases where she transforms into a different constellation that shoots arrows and next a crescent moon that releases UFOs from her insides for djimmi the great he missed the phase where djimmi comes back after you defeat cupman and he is giant. there is a hidden phase in this fight too: hold the button that shrinks you until he has a lightbulb. this turns cupman into a tiny version of himself and he joins djimmi in the last phase for beppi the clown he forgot the phase where he turns into a big top with lots of things that can hurt you (and he didn't show the phase where he was on a donkey that shoots horseshoes) for grim matchstick he forgot the phase where grim turns into a three-headed dragon for baroness von bon bon he forgot the phase where her castle begins chasing cuphead and you are forced to run to the left while still shooting for wally warbles he missed the part where wally comes back after you defeat his son (i guess) and wally is in a thingy being carried by a pair of doctor birds for rumor honeybottoms he missed the part where she turns into an airplane and shoots you from the bottom of the screen for captain brineybeard he missed the phase where brineybeard's ship turns into a narwhal and sometimes fires a laser from his mouth for cala maria (❤️_❤️) he missed the part where her head gets separated from her body and it flies through a spiky tunnel for sally stageplay he missed the phase where sally flies around at the top of the screen and her parasol is spinning after cuphead. there is also a secret phase here too that involves killing sally's husband. this is done by lowering the two things at the top of the screen, which can be tricky since you can only get up there by using parries on the hearts sally blows, and they don't appear too often for werner werman he missed the phase where the cat outside the arena eats werner and you are forced to fight him for dr. kahl's robot he missed the part where dr. kahl comes back out of the head and flies the head around not unlike a koopa clown car and when he laughs, the head holds a diamond that shoots projectiles for phantom express he missed the phase where you go to the frontmost car of the train, the engine, who runs like a horse. he can't be hurt, so you have to parry the thing behind him to open the furnace and shoot into it
