Hi there! What is this MIDI playback device you're using here? Thx!

Hello! It's "mt32-pi", a raspberry pi-based emulator for Roland MT32 and general MIDI. Nice little thing, I use it to play midi from old PCs.

How did you get midi on it and can mod it on the 48k

+3 has a midi output from the factory, just in a really weird connector. I just made an adapter to connect it to a MIDI playback device. 48k doesn't have midi output, so unfortunately no midi for it.

@@Theaphextwin972 There were several models of ZX Spectrum. Mine is +3, one of the last models, made by Amstrad (it's mostly Amstrad inside). I have it mostly for the novelty and it's drive, which is not a typical 3.5 inch drive, but a 3 inch, with rather unusual disks. It has rather bad compatibility with Spectrum games and software, so if you want a ZX Spectrum, look for original 48k or one of the first 128k models. On a side note, I'm finishing my "own" model of a Spectrum, a copy of a soviet clone "Delta-S". 48k, mostly simple logic 74-series ICs. Amazingly the first prototype board worked as intended at first power-up, so I think about 85% of the work is done. I plan to make it open-source for anyone interested.

Let's have a look at a butchered ZX Spectrum 128k A the grey model and put in an 19" 1U unit rack mod. 1st prototype mod I done and yet some MIDI and old school rave at the same time. Check out my programming in 128k Basic and those midi Y commands in the strings "" kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2OZh3eglLl4bZo
