Thanks, great video, and exactly what I’m trying to do. In Logic, you can only set the background to ‘dark’, rather thank black. Not sure if this will work so well, but will try it out. Thanks again.

Yeah, I get a similar problem when using Ableton. Most of the time you can tweak the settings in your video editing software to make it fit better (even something simple as exposure or saturation of the Midi video clip). But I agree that it can get finicky. Good luck!

@@TDB_Music You were right - works perfectly. I'm using iMovie for video editing, and yes, you can just adjust the color balancing, and easily make the background black. Using high contrast colors in the piano roll helps to separate the midi from background, and then it looks great. Thanks so much for putting this together - incredibly helpful.

@@RLeaguer_Saint my pleasure, I’m glad it worked! Are you going to upload the result on your channel? I’d love to see it!

@@TDB_Music Yes, I will do, but my ‘music channel’, if it can be called that is here: kzbin.info/door/Q4m8vZTmxc1bGGPkn3DVbg

How did you get all the notes to be coloured? Every time I go into the editor, only the active instruments is in colour.
@TDB_Music3 жыл бұрын
Not too sure to be honest, I’ve never had anything different when I selected all the Midi and opened the editor. But it is possible to change the notes colors based on parameters (see “Coloring Notes and Events” in the manual). If I select “Channel” there, they end up having all the same color instead of the default assigned color. Hope this helps!

Well I spent an hour talking to the camera before realizing I didn’t press record. So simple editing was the solution 😂 glad you liked it!

this is not working on logic

Please check the pinned comment, and hopefully that helps! But it works decently on Logic (Ashton Gleckman’s channel is proof of that)

Hello Thomas, please give the settings ( 01.15 min.) for capturing , it is all so blurry in my clips
@TDB_Music3 жыл бұрын
Hello Dick, unfortunately I am not using any settings in particular. I am using OBS for recording, and my capture settings are 1080p at 30fps. Everything else is left by default. I also record using “Display capture” as a source in OBS instead of “Window Capture”, as I find it less complicated. I hope this helps, otherwise please come back to me and I’ll try to support you further!
