I think they need to go back from the start and redo all the base metahuman shapes. The proportions are off. It almost feels like they took all the scans and made a single average of them without separating by race/feature type 🤔 because they all have that telltale metahuman proportion / smoothness to them.

Trying to follow along here but when I create the MetaHuman Identity, and create components, after I click Promote Frame and then Track Markers, the rest of the buttons are greyed out so I cannot click MetaHuman Identity Solve which means I cannot carry on with the creation. I'm definitely logged in to Epic / Quixel Bridge and I can see my existing MetaHumans - is there anything else I need to do?

You can't simply import a photo into Metahuman. You have to import mesh.

It's far from good if you want a copy of the characters you upload. It's generate an avatar, but not yours. I try with occidental star picture, it's kinda generate an asian very bad face of the star. xD IA have probably been trainning with Many chinese face. So I try with Rena Tanaka and it's far from perfect but way better

In automatic1111. The stable diffusion version I use. I use defused lighting. That my help in general as prompt. Results may vary. Because my preference is flat lighting for this kind of stuff. Though when I see the model withe mole. does that matter.

Came back to this video and nailed it. The 'THAT'S A METAHUMAN' down to the expressions still gets to me, and since I'm not using maya I can't see how I can influence the DNA and expressions yet. But...I'll take my results and get back to learning about clothing design and maybe grooming. Thanks yet again. When things aren't so bad, hopefully end of April, I'm going to buy your course for lighting since ... lighting is everything \o/

Cool video & thanks for sharing this, Jay! Although, the final Metahuman model (at 10:00) doesn't look anything like the original image (at 3:00). A lot of secondary and tertiary details that make the attractive bald woman in the image unique are completely lost or absent in the final model... It's unfortunate there isn't a shortcut to creating a one to one 3D character from an image at this time. (On the other hand, those of us that are character artists should really be celebrating we're not out of a job, yet! ; ) I often wish for shortcuts, but you have to be careful what you wish for -- the impact AI is having on 2D artists now is frightening.)

The biggest factor here is the lack of texture (replaced with generic metahuman one). We had good resemblance of real people in games 20 years ago with tiny fraction of the polygons metahumans have. Textures are powerful.

Hello Sir JSFILMZ. I'm your big big fan of your tutorials and insights about UEand Metahuman from India. I wanted to ask you a question which may sound rude but if you answer Sir i will think that you understood my curiosity, helplessness and fandom to your work. The question is not rude but simple and the reason I'm asking it because I want to spend most time, in fact all the time tinkering with Unresl engine if i had True time Freedom which comes from Money. So Sir my question from where do you earn money to be able to spend these many hours, infact all the hours to playfully spendtime and research Unreal engine. I want to live this life too😢. Is it military pension, is it Fortnite creative map making, like I've heard ppl are earning millions, or some other parttime job? Or infact it may be youtube too. I'm waiting for your reply. Thanks!

Content creators are going to really have to stop doing the basic metahuman creation. Use the generated skin texture and color as well. Keentools has something, but it only works with Maya. I want some Blender content for bringing a 3d scan / ai generated photo to metahuman- WITH the skin texture generated from ai
