Midjourney V6 - Is it as Good As They Say?

Midjourney has released a brand new version, Midjourney V6 and it’s re-trained from the ground up.
This version is currently in beta and it still takes place inside of Discord.
At some point, a website version of Midjourney will be released and I’ll make a video about it then.
I’ll show you how to access version, how to prompt it correctly and show you some comparisons between version 5.2 which was the previous version and version 6.
When it comes to prompting, you can actually simplify your prompts in v6. For example, you don’t need to use keywords like 4k, 8k or photorealistic.
And you can really get specific with your prompts and it will follow more of your instructions.
- - style raw will get you closer to your prompt.
Version 6 also has two new upscale options. Upscale subtle and upscale creative, which are very useful.
And the biggest update, you can finally add text to images. All you have to do is put the text in quotation marks.

what the heck, only discord?! Stable Diffusion is fully locally installed, I don't understand why other AI companies are keeping things secret and proprietary when the best stuff is free and open source? I find it odd to see so many videos about MJV6 when SD is so much better for realism.

Yes. Stable Diffusion is miles ahead of shitjourney. Shitjourney will never have inpaint/outpaint or mouse support, because of Discord. I would never use AI image generator, that doesn't have those, they speed up the workflow so much. Hate on little detail in otherwise awesome image? In MJ you reroll, and get something completely different. In SD you inpaint, voila. You can even inpaint real photos, without paying Adobe for their crappy Generative Fill. Also in terms of image quality, SD does realistic photos better than V6. Completely free. People are afraid of SD because they think the UI is complex, when actually Fooocus or ComfyUI is easier and faster, more precise to use than MJ Also funny to me how MJ users upvote images that manage to get some sort of cleagave or other thirsty image, despite their censorship. They are always in MJ showcase page, because people think it's something noteworthy. In SDXL, you can create thirsty images or straight up porn as much as you like I mean all image generators are unethical, because they stole art and copyrighted photos to train the AI. But at least SD doesn't try to profit from it

I don't know why people pay money to the pricks behind MJ. Stable Diffusion XL is also based on industrial scale art theft, but at least it's free and currently better. MJ is stuck in Discord, which means it will never have functions like Inpainting/Outpainting. These are critical features, and easy in Stable Diffusion. With the alternative UIs like Fooocus, Stable Diffusion is also easier to use. With modern GPU, the wait times aren't much different from MJ, even when SDXL runs locally.
