The person who first showed me this song and band was the Turkish girlfriend I had when we were both studying in Sweden. So all these comments in Turkish made me think of her. In the end, we were too young and the distance too great. Take care, Basakçim.

Why are so many comments here in Turkish? Is this going to be the new Turkish anthem or something? Great song.
@michaelcullen53088 жыл бұрын
I asked that question a few months ago. The answers were like "because we have pain in our hearts". But that doesn't explain why this song, and not one of a million others, or why melancholic Turkish commenters vastly outnumber non-Turkish. My guess? There is some popular Turkish video out there that KZbin always links to this as a recommendation.
@TheGamerSayny8 жыл бұрын
Michael Cullen no, i did some interesting research about that... Yes, they are like melancholics or something, this can sound some bullshit, but if you watch some videos of another sad songs you will find the same: 10000 comments of Turkish people (my research was on Doom metal bands with melancholic themes) (examples: Saturnus, November Doom, Thurisaz)
@michaelcullen53088 жыл бұрын
TheGamerSayny That's interesting, and it answers at least part of the question. However, I have been looking at this video since it was posted, it is one of my favourites. If you look at the comment history, you notice that in the early days it is all English-speaking comments. And then at some point it flips, and the majority are Turkish. The next question is: what happened to cause the change?
@letisist8 жыл бұрын
I have a clue for you guys. I found that song due to auto-play property. I think most of us found that song like me. And I feel like syrian :D:D:D This alsa true; Turks like melahcholic or something. I dont know why. Our folk musics usually melancholic too.

Van Occupanther inspired a bit of a laurel canyon, folk revival in american music and helped pave the way for the likes of Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear and Bon Iver. :) 21.08.2019
