I like Killer Klowns, but I wasn’t convinced it was worth buying it for over $30 dollars. About a couple of months ago I was at Walmart and like I always do went to the clearance section and they had the 4K steel book for $18, and grabbed it. I also ended up getting the 4K steel book of Godzilla Vs Kong for $15 at the same time.

Chinatown was an amazing release. I preordered it the minute I saw it. I do not regret my purchase and despite the reviews, I loved The Two Jakes.

Aliens is the best of the 3 big James Cameron 4k’s from earlier this year and the single best transfer I’ve watched all year. Yeah, I said it and it’s the truth.

I was disappointed they released the Twister movie with only the 4K disc only and no Blu-ray. All my devices aren't 4K and I like the option to watch in different rooms .

I've agonised over getting Twister on 4k, but I got the remastered blu-ray from Turbine last year, which looks pretty good, better than the previous releases, and I don't think I love it enough to double dip...

I also had a great experience watching Twister in 4K!!!!!!!! To me the blu ray looked like a vhs quality image compared to the 4k!!!! And the Dolby Atmos is excellent like many people commented!!!!!!!!! On top of all that the movie is just a fun watch!!!!!!!!

I got Dune: Part Two when it came out. That and Twister are the only ones from 2024 I have or on the way still. Also finally ordered The Shining on 4k since it was 72% off and E.T. on 4k. I'm sure neither are from this year lol but I'm looking forward to watching them. I don't know anything about boutique labels but that Super Mario Bros set looks really well made and worth getting. Watching your channel is how I'm finding out about Kino Lorber and the other boutique labels you're always mentioning, so thanks. I love movies like you do but you're still opening my eyes to new stuff.

Robocop2 looks and sounds amazing. When I was 13 i thought 2nd was not that good however Now....I've flipped. Robocop 2 was digging deep into some very dark themes ....I bet studios said you gotta tame it down for mainstreme hence they threw in the kid scene comedy. It flips from creepy dark to light fun comedy. I think that style worked very well because man it gets creepy , or maybe I watch too much Cyber Punk films. Also I really liked the Laser Disk Audio master over atmos! ....wow more subtle detail in the sound and yes better than ATMOS 😮....

This year has been going very interesting in terms of all the releases that have been pouring so far. Physical Media was supposed to be RIP as for today, according to streamers or haters but somehow it's very strong or stronger than before. My picks so far are the Cameron's releases, Conan, The Crow, Twister, Invasion USA and waiting for The Terminator and Trick or Treat. Not in order of preference but my preferred. Might have missed a few😂 . Told you, missed a few, Major League, Chinatown, The Boy and the Heron but some still missed.😂

Overall a very solid list. While I know it's just an opinion, I can't agree with Twister being in the top ten like at all, let alone number one unless you are ONLY factoring in the video transfer. The video transfer is really, really good. Audio wise though so many people have been grossly exaggerating how good it actually is. The Atmos mix really is not that good outside of the storm scenes and the dialogue was very poorly mixed compared to everything else around it. I actually have a handful from your list in my own for 2024, but my list also has Godzilla Minus One, Dune: Part 2 and especially Civil War. Civil War is my number one so far of 2024. Not only does the video look great, there's currently nothing out right now that can match it aurally. It simply has the best Atmos mix of the year so far. Your list seems to be more about film transfers/restorations than "4K" in general.

you have me curious about Cry Baby which i never realized was John Waters and Twisters might wait to pick it up it the nice box set, but great to hear. Personally Severin has been nailing all their 4Ks this year. And also VinSyn while not always putting out crowd pleasers does the best in house restorations in the biz.

Great list. My Top 10 of 2024 was for 4k Transfers. I shortly saw Cry Baby afterwards and that easily would've been on my list. It wouldn't surprise me if Cry Baby is in my Top 10 4k transfers at the end of the year.

It's been a good year oh oh fist of legend 4K from 88 films was really great too. I have to agree with your top 3 crybaby was an amazing release. Twister was so well done.

You should hear Twister through a proper Atmos system with real overhead speakers. It's the best Atmos track I've ever heard.

Killer Klowns and Peeping Tom are the two 2024 releases that have looked the best (to me). Blade Runner 2049 (I know it's an old release) is the best I've watched this year.

It looks so, so good in 4K! You can see every wrinkle and fold on the clowns and the color really pops on an oled. Crazy to think that this low budget B movie is one of the best showcases on the 4K format.

Twister my first choice as well... And since AMAZON had screwed ME over on my STEELBOOK 4K... I had gone on and did a blind buy of the TWISTER STEELBOOK 4K BOX SET AT ZAVVI... I'm glad I did because ZAVVI showed the new packaging of TWISTER today... And I had multiples with the original artwork... I'm sorry the green on the steelbook reminded me of the pea soup from Linda Blair throwing up on the priest... 😆 🤣 😂 ZAVVI Twister box set hit it out of the park... With the throwback, NOSTALGIA!!! look, LOVE IT.... The Camron 3 films, I liked ALIENS Transfer. The best picture was enhanced, & THE upgraded Dolby Atmos soundtrack was the Defference maker... ~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~ Minion Buddy, I know you're going to double dip... On that ZAVVI TWISTER. Well, now that they've actually posted images of the U.K. Steelbook and all that it comes with, some time after posting images of the U.S. version, it seems as though it is significantly different from the far more basic U.S. version which, of course, makes PERFECT sense given that it is a U.S. movie... Unfortunately, some girly fellas with messed up priorities will paint the matter of someone having overlooked such a thing as if it were the height of ignorance and lack of intelligence that a human being can possibly demonstrate, which says something about their own, in reality. I haven't been paying that much attention to new media releases lately overall, really.
