Midlife crisis: I bought an E46 M3 convertible

Not sure what words I have to write in this portion..., yeah, I'm officially in my midlife crisis :)
I wanted to buy a convertible BMW for as long as I can remember myself. Finally, I got it!

best car i have ever owned - i was skeptical when i first got the vert but after having both a coupe and vert - VERT LIFE is a real thing- the feeling of dropping the top at a push of button is just incredible ... enjoy her , shes a timeless model - needs a little extra love and care but shell treat ya right

I'm 48 and just bought my first BMW. I've owned a couple of R1200GS motorcycles, but never a car. I got an 2002 E46 M3. Carbon Black cabriolet. I did not get nearly as good of a deal as you did, but I'm super excited to finally own this icon.

I bought my 02 carbon black convertible three years ago at the age of 75! Age has nothing to do with it. I love every minute of it. Especislly the SMG, which is ideal for my age...easy driving.

Oh man. I did exactly the same thing two weeks ago. The car is still in transit and I can’t wait. I’ll chalk it down to mid life crisis too. Mine looks exactly the same from the outside down to the wheels. Interior is black.

Thanks for the video. Similarly, I bought an '03 M3 Vert Alpine White/Cinn about 4 years ago and experience the same BMW joy. It was very well maintained and I've only had to redo the brakes and a new battery. I plan to keep it for a long time.

I’m UK based and bought my vert E46 M3 2 years ago. If you want any advice on my experience let me know. I have spent a few thousand UK pounds on subtle improvements (mods) and essential maintenance. It’s a wonderful car, enjoy it!

I just did the same thing. I’m new to BMW cars and didn’t realize what a m3 was and ended up buying a beautiful 2001 330ci. My other daily is a Jeep Wrangler so the 330ci manual transmission is plenty fast for me!

There no such thing as midlife crisis owning an M3 , don’t know about your country but in the UK you don’t really see young people owning these types of cars it’s the older people that own them, great car I’ve had mine since new and I’m now 44

I’m currently residing in the USA, and I think it’s a stereotype most people have here: once you hit 40 you get into a middle life crisis. But honestly I wanted a convertible BMW as long as I remember myself. I'm 41, and I feel like my life just started:)

EliteBimmers I have an e46 m3 vert. I’ve wanted one since I was in my early twenties. Now 44 finally got one. I drove my stepfathers 2019 corvette and I would not pick that over my m3. Sorry corvette guys.
