Well, you won’t believe it, but my longtime customer, Charlene Harbour, has decided to join my Avon team and become an Avon representive!! I’m so excited for her and this new chapter in her life!!
So I’ve stopped by to give her a Get Acquainted Kit and talk her through the first steps in building her business.
In this video, you'll hear lots of nostalgic sounds, from the heavy plastic compartments of my Beauty Showcase and the delicate sounds of cardboard and plastic boxes, to the crinkly vintage pages of authentic Avon brochures, bags, and other paper materials. Gentle, comforting, soft-spoken voice with lots of explaining.

Ohio here. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in hurricane territory. It did make its way up to southern Ohio today and we had storms, power outages, tornado warnings-but nothing like y’all endured. I’m glad you’re safe and able to sip on a good dose of ASMR, Andrea. ♥️♥️

My grandmother used to have a basket of about 50 of those little animal/shell shaped soaps (as well as hotel soaps and other samples). But no one ever used them for some reason, though I always wanted to as I thought they were much cuter than normal soap 😂

This is funny. You’re right, no one ever used them because you didn’t want to destroy the shape. That’s why there are millions of Avon decorative soaps in mint condition. 😂😂

I love all the color-coordinated set pieces. They're so gorgeous. I'm trying to build a small collection of vintage pieces myself, I think they'll be fun for roleplays. Your voice and your movements are always so calming. I couldn't have you as my Avon lady, I'd fall asleep at the kitchen table! 😂

No special place. eBay, Etsy, estate sales, thrift shops, flea markets. It’s amazing what is lurking in people’s closets and attics!! ☺️

Was a territory like a block, or a whole neighborhood? What if a representative wasnt proactive or successful in their territory? Would they be replaced? I cant imagine Avon giving exclusivity to any representative.

You know, that’s one question I can’t answer bc I didn’t sell Avon-I’m drawing on memories of my mom’s Avon lady. But the paper ephemera that I shared in the video does make reference to one’s territory. I’m definitely as curious as you are. Wonder if any other viewers would know?

Use the callback brochures sparingly, only if you get the sense that the perspective customer has expressed interest and is open to you coming back another time. Otherwise just leave them a sample if they won’t speak to you when you call.
