Thank you, and Happy New Year, Sir!!! Yes, I started playing guitar in 1970 when I was a lowly college student. I played trumpet before that, but girls didn't pay attention to trumpet players; the switch didn't help, but I didn't care. I was hooked on this thing!!

@@JamesSeaberry I picked up the guitar at 15. 17 years later and I’m still not very good. But I’m self taught. For me, I needed to get some of these strong emotions out.

@@andrewwabik5125 Yes, I was self-taught until just a few years ago when I started taking lessons online. Too stubborn to have done it long ago. Its all about saying who you are at that moment. Moments change.

@ agreed. I’ve always been stubborn and willful. I’ve played with some friends over the years, but I prefer to do it on my own. If only I could sing, 😝
