Having steadfastly refused to play in South Africa whilst in the grip of apartheid, this concert is a celebration of the inauguration of Nelson Mandela in front of a packed Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg during 1994.

Years ago my wife and I WENT TO Many music shows. We went to see UB 40 at Boston common concert. The opening act was Midnight Oil. They were so outstanding and so passionate on stage. The crowd went nuts and after when UB 40 came on half the audience left because they couldn’t hold a candle to how powerful Midnight Oil had been. Only time we had seem opening act blow the main act out of the water. Great memories.

I was there but I went to see Midnight Oil. I had seen them a few years earlier @ the Channel & they blew me away. I've seen them 10 or 15 times & think they are the Greatest live band I've ever seen.
