smears are technically just blurs but in 2D.

something I noticed that was interesting is that a lot of the smear animations are done in 1's instead of the typical 2's. Definitely keeping that in mind.

I think that smears play a Big role in how we percieve movement in this animation. More that just doing inbetweens properly using smears is a skill on its own.

Another great video! Just one question: how do you know a key animator's work? Well, You Yoshinari is usually obvious. The growing explosions, the flowing movement. But with others. Like the ones who worked on One-Punch Man? I've been trying to find the key animation on the first fight in ep 1 and I just can't find it. So I'm asking if you could give me some pointers on how you pinpoint each key animator with their work

Not really something i want to bother with. I do these videos because its fun and as easy resources for animator pals as examples of different effects and techniques. I wouldn't spend hours editing something together that I'm not interested in. Scenes like that would probably fall in the character animation category and BlueSakuga has videos on character acting already. ^_^

Not at present unfortunately. I'm planning on finishing a few more videos then I'll stop uploading. Moving onto some personal goals I wanna accomplish so I wont have the time to devote to these anymore.
