Nomo, You probably get tired of hearing this but...thank you so much for more fantastic work. Top notch as usual. This band is simply the best roots on earth! I was lucky enough to see them twice in Vermont this past spring...the Montpelier show was magical. They played for over 3 hours...lots of great versions just like usual. This band is unreal when performing live!

Does anyone know what's going on with Midnite? I had tickets to the Ithaca, NY show on 2/8/15 and they cancelled that show and the entire East and West coast tour. All the website said was something about a band emergency...no details though. Does anyone know anything more? P.S. I hope the band is ok and they continue touring. I was REALLY looking forward to the Ithaca show! :-)

danix raiatea I check their site almost daily looking for tour updates. I saw what you're referring to about a band medical emergency. My problem is that we (the fans) are not being given anything but the barest minimum of info. A few details would be nice. I understand the desire for privacy...I tend to be a very private person myself but I'm also not in the public eye with thousands of fans wondering why I cancelled my tour. They could have released a statement like "the drummer was in a car accident and broke his leg" or "the keyboard player's mom is in the hospital and he needs to be with her". Most other bands say things like that when something like this happens. King states that his official website posted: "[King] was immediately evaluated by a doctor and diagnosed with dehydration and suffering from exhaustion whereby causing the eight remaining shows of his current tour to be cancelled" ...see the difference between those statements and the statement on Midnite's site? Also, when I googled "Midnite cancels tour" all I got really was a link to Midnite's Facebook page that said the exact same thing as the Midnite official website i.e. "band medical emergency". For weeks and weeks it seemed there were also no updates whatsoever...until finally they post a vague statement about healing and rebuilding and that they hope to be on the road again soon. I'm really just saying they could be a bit more open and forthcoming with their fans...that's all. P.S. I'm not into prayer but you do whatever you feel is right. :-) P.P.S. Please, before folks start flaming me...I'm trying not to come down too hard on the band...I'm just being honest about feeling frustrated with the way the band chose to handle this particular situation. Btw...I'm a huge Midnite fan and have seen them live 9 times since 2009. I'll see them again when they come back to Ithaca, NY and Vermont. Enjoy today...it's 4/20! :D

yes i understand well what you mean, and not saying that i agree with it, but you know the way midnite like to keep a lot of things "secret", unfortunately. For sure it would have been much better to know what's really going on, overall for you american fans who are used to see them live regularly. Have a good 4/20, without smoking for me, no more weed!!

Bamford Steele Bradford I just saw Midnite in Denver 7/17/15 for Nelson Mandela day and Ron Benjamin was not with the group and Vaughn has changed his name to Akea Beka. He has a website for Akea Beka. I still don't know what happened either, but one thing for sure they rocked Casselman's in Denver CO. HOTEP
