Tools, I am guessing they wired the AC out correctly inside and ran the cable through the AC IN grommet hole. Just guessing

Very interesting unit. Do you know if they have any plans to release an all in one, built in MPPT charger etc

We do not have a Solark type of inverter planned yet. There is tall though. We are still working on the B17 which is the ultimate all in one system. There are other things in the works that I can’t talk about yet too.

Can you do a video on what info is given on the MNGP2? Does it have remote montoring software?
@NAZSolarElectric

We don't have anything planned at the moment for MNGP2 but will keep in in mind! Currently Midnite doesn't have any way to remotely monitor the Midnite Rosie system. Hopefully this is something they add soon.

MNGP2 does not have built in remote monitoring. I've "heard" that Midnite is investigating an option for that.

Will it ac couple with enphase? Which batteries are going to have closed loop coms?

Midnite is working on Closed loop commutations. They have not released any information on which batteries they will support or when this feature will be available. Midnite is working on Firmware to allow for AC coupling Solar Array. They have not released any lead time on this feature. Feel free to reach out to our team anytime via chat on our site and we will check back with updates!

Way to go, Robin, about the 120v thing when inverting. The Gudgel Guys are always innovating! Will the Rosie charge properly with a 120v generator, or does the genset need to be 120/240?

You can charge on 120V or 240V. Rosie is very easy going.

How clean is the HF radio in its near field.

That would be a question that would be best to direct to the manufacturer. Here is their website: www.midnitesolar.com/ If we can be of assistance with system design or support please let us know! Thank you for watching.

@@NAZSolarElectric maybe, most manufacters dont have engineers aware of RF, just min FCC and UL etc minium requirements.

@@bobwwj555 we haven't specifically tested its impact on radio frequencies, and you're right (after some digging) there is not much info on their website about it either. However, in our experience, the Rosie inverters have been very high quality, and we have not had any complaints from our customers about interference with any other equipment they have used - HAM radios or otherwise. This was a great question though! We'll keep an eye out for more information on this front. Thank you!

@@NAZSolarElectric thanks, helpful. Here a fun facts "some" HAM operators used to help power companies find arcing and thus reducing power company cost of loss of that power. Another Fact is the design of inverter filter sections are ditectly related to RF noise made, PWM being a major issues to that end. HF HAM radios can display this noise pretty fast. The noise often is some harmonic of the intermeteray freq the inverter uses. It will change pending what filter and what loads the inverter does and has. Thus its complexity and why younger EE designers miss the boat on RF and why HAMS often get RF noise and get mad about it. As the design requirements from FCC aceptance needs to happen with more china type inverters especally. Im sure few mfg know this, but one the midnite guys should create the better standard as its a selling point, the Eff% is directly related to RF cleanlyness but due to freq changes checking the spectrum is time consuming. My FlexRadio covers large span in SDR, thr china invert im replacing soon is super nasty.
