Love love love. I saw a video last year of a lady unboxing her first Midori travellers notebook and she sent it back because it had a scratch on it !!!! ah hello they are meant to end up like that. Yours look well used and loved Mits, I'm waiting to take my new camel away with us in March/April this cover in particular feels so different than my others can't wait to see how it holds up traveling.

Thank you, there are a lot of photos and videos when the notebooks are new but many of how they look aged.

I love all the dings and scratches and marks on my TN's--makes them look loved! I found the green/olive colored one online the other day and had to really talk myself out of buying it-but I wanted to because you've talked so highly about it. Thanks for the comparisons it was nice to see them all together.

I only have one Midori. My husband bought it used for me in October. I don't think they ever carried it, as it is pristine. In 2017, I carried a Wanderings TN, and loved it madly. It aged exquisitely, it has the knot on the spine, it's a hair bigger than the Midori. I switched to the Midori in January. It is aging nicely, but so far I do not like it better than my Wanderings TN. I do feel kind of privileged to have an original Midori because they started it all. There's plenty of time for me to fall in love with it...

It was so nice to get a good look at your collection! I have a chic sparrow and another leather traveler’s notebook but no Traveler’s Company original ones yet. I would really want a camel or Olive eventually if I could get my hands on one!

Thanks for sharing - I have always been interested in how journals age :) My 2015 Brown Midori is used much, for everything. It has a great patina & has aged delightfully - I love it !!!

I recently got my first traveler's notebook (regular in camel), and then I got the passport in camel because it was a great deal and I'm obsessed. I've also noticed that the camel passport is different than the regular. To me, the color looks warmer and the leather feels more buttery. I love them both, but I'm keeping the passport in its cloth bag for now. No scratches yet! Also your videos are how I was introduced to traveler's notebooks, so thank you!

Wonderful video, exactly what I need! :) I have a couple of used ones coming my way, 5th anniversary camel and the olive edition, which looks like I have paid a bit of premium for. Which is why I am very anxious about what I will be getting. Love both of your olive and 5th anniversary camel. I am actually relieved that the olive is more brown than green. Thank you so much for sharing this leather comparison with us. I really really love how used and scratchy the olive one looks. My black one looked the same as yours, not used, no scratches or something like that. I hate that fact and sold it. But you want me to get the olive one, if the leather reacts that way :)

i have a brown Midori for two years and it still looks almost new. it has little scratches here and there from handling but i dont use it as often as you do Mits. my TN is for journaling (not daily) and documenting my travels and sometimes, i feel like i should use it more often. i'm definitely trying! and a month from now, i'm going to Japan and i'm thinking of buying the Tokyo station one.

OMG you have so many! They are all so beautiful. I have the TN in brown in the passport and standard size. I get them in Toronto at store called Wonder Pens. They are pricey but I enjoy using them. tfs

Do you still have all of these? I recently found an Olive edition on eBay. Brand new and the leather feels similar to the camel? It has a suede texture… nice to the touch but yours looks like it’d feel a bit more sleek ?

Very pretty, thanks for sharing! I love my regular camel size and use it when I travel but I think I now want a brown passport size for an everyday carry...unless it comes in olive! :-)

Hi Mits! Thank you so much for this helpful video. I was wondering whether you know if the Olive Edition is still available in the Traveler's Factory stores? I could buy them from an online source in the States but thought I would hold off until my trip to Japan if they are still readily available there? Hello! I'm sorry I rarely get a chance to go to the Traveler's factory stores (maybe a couple times a year) so I'm not sure if they still have them in stock. They're sold out online, so I would suggest to purchase it online in the states. I haven't seen them sold in stores for a while now. Sorry, I wish I could be of more help..Have fun with the olive, I LOVE mine haha :) And have an amazing time in Japan!!!

I do de-stash (non midori/traveler's company brands) once in a while..probably not nearly as much as I should though ;\ I hope to destash some more in the new year :)) Thank you for watching!

This video is extremely helpful so I can see how my TN will age over time. I own a Tokyo Train Station edition TN and have had it for almost 2 months now. I can see how once the powder stuff goes away, the leather is starting to show dryness? likee...you can see some very visible lines and definition of the leather. I didn't know if it was normal wear and tear or that I am doing something wrong to dry out my leather which i hope isn't the case lol :( Does anyone have some care tips on the leather? I am very new to using a TN and I am enjoying it immensely..which is bad news for my wallet because I really want to buy a second one now LOL. I am having trouble deciding between an Olive and the Narita Airport one.
