As an Aston Villa fan, I can assure you you're talking rubbish. Villa's defensive issues this season have absolutely nothing to do with Emi Martinez and everything to do with the defenders in front of him. Our current defenders are not good enough. Once our defence is improved, we'll have a lot more clean sheets. Villa's results would be much worse without Emi in goal.

Gabriel is not as technical. When he controls the ball, the opponent starts to press our defence because his touches are slightly heavier and he needs to adjust before passing it out. Saliba can dribble his way out of trouble, more press resistant.

MOM performances against Napoli, AC Milan, Real Madrid amongst others. 12 goals and 5 assists in 20 games in all competitions (and created a lot of scoring chances too) for Atalanta who currently sitting in 1st place in Serie A and also well placed in the UCL Your Italian brothers constantly praising him, for putting out consistent performances and raising his level yet again, even exceeding the success of his first 2 years in Serie A, where he was voted Atalanta player of the season Gasperini recently hailing him as a top footballer and one of the world's best in a most recent interview Just awarded African player of the year.
