well I know the blessed morrow Christ will come for me.
'Midst the light, and peace, and glory of the Father's home,
Christ for me is waiting, watching, waiting 'till I come.
Who is this, who comes to meet me, on the desert way,
as the Morning Star foretelling God's unclouded day
He it is who came to win me, on the cross of shame;
In His glory now I know Him ever- more the same.

This great song of faith is beautifully sung here; it's a plaintive song, but it's full of hope amidst the trials and difficulties which make life, at time seem like a desert road. The hope is fixed upon the grace of God and the faithful one who came to win me, bore the curse and will see the results of the pain he bore… The lovely tune suits the words well and is sung so sensitively.

@@AprylDawn That was my mother's favourite line too. She read and re-read the words in her old age (1980s). This song was my Brother's favourite too, when in failing health, and after being widowed. You render it well...
