You may have just rekindled my heart in game design. It's been something that I have been wanting to do since I was like 12, and now that I am graduating I know that I want to do IT. This video was so inspiring! i'm a first year Computer Science student in Rome and I'm having a java course rn, the Exam for it will consist of a game development project, I have to make a videogame from zero only using Java and JavaSwing 😭. I had a Python course in the 1st semester and I'm having quite a bit of trouble getting used to Java, but these videos really motivate me! Also, love Lamp, Ishiko Aoba and Laufey music 🤍

hii! I love it! I enjoy art, programming, and stories so game design is something I'm really passionate aboutt :->. I think to become a game designer, you just got to do it! I started off by just cloning a mario game following a tutorial and that's rlly what my process looks like still (watching tutorials and making them my own). I also def do get creative burnout. Part of why I like vlogging/programming is I can still feel productive without getting too deep in the burnout. I also make sure to rest (literally just have a day where I scroll on tiktok or watch a netflix show hahah) or reward myself when I know I've been working hard (even if I don't see the results), so like thrifting/going to a cafe!

Omg sorry!! I just saw this comment - I think I draw my other inspiration from games I enjoy/like to watch people play. There are a few artists on Instagram as well who really inspire me! Generally looking at other forms of media and art really help my creative process :-)

Don't see anything that sets sets playerDetected to false and the seperation of playerDetected = true and If playerDetected is currently unnecessary. You also are setting swing to true/false instead of hitPlayer so you won't get any console log saying "swinging".

Hi!! that's so cool that you made a PC! I honestly am a beginner myself, but a lot of tutorials online are rlly helpful! I recommend maybe starting off with references and then going on to making your own models once you feel more comfortable :-) and thx Mortè!!
