Midvil - Anyone Alive?

Midvil, who has been making music together since 2017, is coming with the most striking album of their discography 'Nox'. The band, which has been wandering around various metaphysical universes since 'The Great Journey' and derives its visual identity from these realities, calls out from the distorted universe closest to reality:
Anyone Alive?
The first single of the album 'Nox' , 'Anyone Alive?', becomes the voice of those drowned in this reality. In this reality there are earthquakes, economic crises, wars, famine and distortion. The black and white video accompanying the song is like an ontological record of this pessimistic environment. As if a huge disaster happened the moment the recording was finished and ended all the joy in the world, as if it would take years for us to be the same again.
It is also more difficult to get out of this reality, which is closest to reality. More painful and confusing. There is an order that always regulates itself. 'Leave It Behind' turns the last shreds of hope into a scream and leaves a great ending to the album. The song, which is a burst of energy and accompanied by 'Godbud' guitarist Özdemir Albayram, helps the album end on a positive note.
2017’den beri birlikte müzik yapan Midvil diskografisinin en çarpıcı albümü 'Nox' ile geliyor. The Great Journey’den beri çeşitli metafiziksel evrenlerde dolaşan ve görsel kimliğini bu gerçekliklerden alan grup, bu sefer gerçeğe en yakın çarpık evrenden sesleniyor:

Albümün ilk teklisi ’Anyone Alive?’ bu gerçekliğin içinde boğulmuşların sesi oluyor. Bu gerçeklikte depremler, ekonomik krizler, savaşlar, kıtlık ve çarpıklık var. Şarkıya eşlik eden siyah beyaz klip bu karamsar durumun ontolojik bir kaydı gibi. Sanki kayıt bittiği anda büyük bir felaket olmuş ve dünyadaki bütün neşeyi bitirmiş gibi, adeta tekrar eskisi gibi olmamız için yıllar geçmesi gerekiyormuş gibi.
Gerçeğe en yakın olan bu gerçeklikten çıkmak da daha zor. Daha acı verici ve kafa kurcalıyıcı. Kendi kendine kurallar koyan bir dünya düzeni var. ‘Leave It Behind’ son umut kırıntılarını bir çığlığa dönüştürüyor ve albüme müthiş bir son bırakıyor. ‘Godbud’ gitaristi Özdemir Albayram’ın gruba eşlik ettiği enerji patlaması niteliğindeki şarkı albümün pozitif bir notla bitmesine yardımcı oluyor.
