The Razor Gen 3 is my favorite and their 3-18x44 FFP Strike Eagle is excellent too. I'm impressed. Haven't used it yet but initial impression out of the box is that it has very nice glass comparable to an Athlon Ares BTR Gen 2. I was really surprised how clear this scope actually is even on high magnification and looks clearer than my Meopta Optika 6 3-18x56 on 18x and just as bright too in a lighter weight scope. I think I'll buy a couple more of these instead of more of the Meoptas or Ares BTR Gen 2s after putting the first one through it's paces to see how durable it is in the field. Vortex has the best warranty in the business too so no worries.

I always run my zero stop one full rev down in case I need to account for elevation and need a hold over. The .4 Mil isn't enough sometimes.

I am a BIG fan of Vortex optics the PST line of scope. You get exactly what you pay for, the glass is good better than Strike Eagle line, but if you want I will say top quality turrets Arken Optics EP5 or the EPL4 Japanese glass.

This reticle is busy on the horizontal stadia for no reason. The reticle on the Razor LHT and Gen 2 and 3 are significantly better.

Can you give us a hint at what height it need to be mounted above your flattop AR? Is 40mm from base to middle of rings adequate?

is the zero stop needed if your gonna leave it sighted in at 100 yards ?

I don’t see where you made another video on this scope. Still think it’s a good optic to choose? I was set on a Razor HD LHT… but I have the opportunity to buy one of these brand new for $350…. Very tempting to save that money and go with the strike eagle.

This might be what I’m looking for. Building a predator hunting 18” AR-15 and would like to be able to go shoot steel out to 500 for fun with cheap 223/5.56 ammo. Do you think the reticle is too busy to hunt coyotes with??

once you get the hang of a reticle like this you’ll forget about dialing dope and easily do wind holds. You can also get really good at ranging so pretty handy for coyotes I would say.

He said 5.56 with 1:7 twist. He must be shooting some heavy bullets. I have a custom 20" 223 Wylde with 1/8 twist and I shoot Match 75 Gr BTHPs. Can easily go out to 1,000 yards. I can't find this scope he's talking about. I found it with the EBR-4 but can't find the 7.
