@gazmgow6224 жыл бұрын
Tackle the down hills like you would in a Land Rover for example, you wouldn’t roll down it, out of gear and let it pick up speed would you? Low gear and let it go on it’s own, you will only gain the speed that the gearing allows. 80 per cent back brake and you’re good
@boogiekush93914 жыл бұрын
Great advice , thank you !
@db79484 жыл бұрын
2 strokes dont have much engine braking though.. works well on a 4 stroke
@rztrzt4 жыл бұрын
That doesn't work so well on a two stroke. Better to go engine off and rear brake.
@gazmgow6224 жыл бұрын
D B my point was, we’re not talking huge downhills here. Your bike will only go a certain speed in a low gear regardless of 2 or 4t. That’s fact, it won’t go 70mph in first gear will it? So I meant, go down the hills in 1st gear, applying mainly back brake and he will be fine. Lock the rear and bike will stall. It is possible to keep revs down covering brake. Most guys shit their pants, jam the rear up and stall the bike then skid down the hill. It all works. And yeah I ride a 4. I use 2 strokes for cutting fire wood and stone
@db79484 жыл бұрын
@@gazmgow622 I get your point but because 2 strokes rev much higher than 4 strokes unless the hill is very short the engine braking is not enough and you pick up too much speed, even 20kph on a steep long hill is too much. For anything too steep or too long a hill you have to brake as well. Also having the engine reving while off the throttle on a 2 stroke is not good as the engine isn't being lubricated like a 4 stroke.

If you wanted a 300 all you need is head, cylinder, top end kit and a tune since its a tpi!!! i love my 300 xc!!!! i have been watching your videos for awhile now. i have a question for you. When you in your technical riding position how much time do you spend on your seat vs weighting your foot pegs? i think that might be major fault in your riding style. please dont take offence..... i had the same problem till someone pointed that out for me.. total game changer!!! Another thing you could try is counting the amount of dabs you do on a trail/hill climb. you might be surprised on many times your feet hit the ground when your not really thinking about it!!!! love the content. cant wait for your next video!

An EXC-F 350 is not supposed to be much heavier than the 250. It was recommended and I bought one. Love to tell you how good it is but it is my first enduro. My friend has got a Yamaha 250 and he envies the amount of fuel I have left in my tank at the end of three hours. All the best.
