@k.jespersen6145Ай бұрын
Have to disagree with you. There's every reason to have the light on and shining into the car in the guys eyes. An awful lot of people misuse closed parks to sell or take illegal drugs, to conduct illicit assignations, and/or to batter each other. The cop who has to interrupt these situations needs eyes-on and a way to reduce the efficacy of retaliation, so the light is essential. It is a non-lethal means of elevating the safety of all involved. This guy was eating tacos. Someone else could have been pretending to eat tacos to cover for an interrupted illegal action. A reasonable person eating tacos is far less likely to get upset about an understandable light than a person disguising illegal actions or intent whom the light might expose. The cop had every reason for experiencing increasing levels of agitation. Since he had a canine, that was the tool he used-- perhaps not the right tool for the job, but when you have a hammer, even a screw looks like a nail. Not an overreaction.

Whenever a cop "explains" (read justify) their actions over and over you know they did wrong. This cop went way over the top. 0 reason to call backup and have them come lights and sirens. Endangering everyone on the way to the scene including the cop. All over a guy sitting in a park 6 minutes after it closed. We really need to stop training cops to be afraid of every person they talk to. Not every person they speak to wants to hurt them. It is America so just assume everyone has a gun but again, not everyone wants to hurt them. Listening to the cop trying to make this guy "understand his side of things" just proves even more the cop knows this whole situation was bs and unwarranted. 6 minutes what a joke.
@ErcleDerckle4 күн бұрын
"0 reason to call backup"... Really? Didn't Brain try to leave while the cop was at his window because Brian decided to argue with him? How does the cop know he's not just gonna take off and start a police chase? "All over a guy sitting in a park 6 minutes after it closed" This is irrelevant, if the park is closed, then it is closed, those are the park rules, if you are asked to leave when a park is closed, then you leave, its super simple. "We really need to stop training cops to be afraid of every person they talk to." Right... Throw caution out the window, give no fucks, might as well not even wear body armour, who cares, its not like anyone has a gun or anything, fuck it, why even let the cops have guns, they don't need 'em, matter of fact, might as well have the police pull their pants down and bend over whenever they do a traffic stop so the citizen knows they can have their way with the cop. I don't think I've ever read some shit as dumb as this before, I am NOT lying. "Listening to the cop trying to make this guy "understand his side of things" just proves even more the cop knows this whole situation was bs and unwarranted." Wrong on every single level. The reason why the cop is explaining his actions, and why things went the way they did are actually very simple, but since you can't seem to understand that, I'll do you a favor. The cop is explaining why the situation went to shit so that numb-nuts-Brian learns from his mistakes, and doesn't do that same stupid shit again, it's actually a very simple concept, but anyways, he's doing stupid shit that he needs to not do again, such as: Being somewhere you're not supposed to be after hours, not listening to police, being noncompliant with police, attempting (very poorly) to flee a traffic stop (i know he's parked, but he's in a vehicle, so technically still a stop, but regardless, the main issue is that the cop is actively speaking with him, you cannot just drive away, I REALLY don't understand how you can justify this (you can't)), edging to take the dog out then crying like a bitch when the dog is out, and a very obvious one, but I'll list it anyways cus I know you need it, drumroll please... *ba dum ba dum ba dum* Resisting arrest :). I hope Brian tries to fight this in court, because on every single step of what went down, he is in the wrong. "6 minutes what a joke." So when should Brian be told to leave the premises then? if not after 11:00 pm (when the park is closed btw, idk if you didn't realize that or something) then when? 11:30? fuck it, 12, midnight, an hour after the park is closed, you can stick around for an entire hour after the fact. I'm honestly at a loss. Notice I didn't address your first point because it's so outrageous and stupid that I honestly don't know what to say to fix your thought process behind it. Maybe because Brian is LITERALLY fucking telling the cop that they didn't need to "do all that," which prompts the cop, and other cops, to explain to him, "over and over" why they did what they did. Unfucking-believable reasoning I know. Seriously, did you watch the video, I'm genuinely asking, are your headphones in? You know there's subtitles right? They're even coloured so you can follow along with who's talking. I'm not sure if you knew that, it didn't seem like you did so I figured I'd mention it just in case :* Be so fucking for real.
