As for the metal Jackie found how many passes do you all have on that combo now it’s better to find it now and fix it then in the middle of a run but that’s definitely a lot of aluminum and gasket material. Yeah, my 25 year old Jeep has a lockup converter, automatically engaged in 3rd sort of like another shift. One can put a switch on it and do it manually, which is great for crawling down hills hold back.

If I remember, that is a cast block and steel rods correct? With that much aluminum shaved like that it’s got to be some super unhappy valve train or thrust issues. Is it possible that oil filter block off, adapter doohickey thing could be doing it. Or the oil pump itself?
