Flood Brothers Growling Mack LE McNeilus Century Atlantic Curotto Can Garbage Truck

Featured in today's video is one of the many TTE refurbs that Flood Brothers has taken delivery of, handling some yard waste on a Saturday with a super cool driver. Prior to coming over to Flood, he drove for Lakeshore doing rear load commercial routes for 16 years so he really knows the industry well. Although he wasn’t super familiar with operating a Curotto I thought he did a great job, especially after seeing how high the shop had the speed set. I also thought it was incredible to not only see a Century Series McNeilus still in action, but also one with lots of life left. This thing sounded absolutely incredible taking off, and getting to see it climb some hills was even better too. Seen at the end of the video is the truck that this driver had started out with that day but had unfortunately broken down, which also was their oldest residential truck that they ran before it was allegedly scrapped. It was cool to see both their oldest and “newest” trucks on the same route, and so I hope you all enjoy the show!

Awesome catch man, I always enjoy seeing these old classics! That deep growl sounded super cool and it was sweet to see a less common McNeilus body. The speed of the Curotto was fun to watch too. That Heil was really cool as well and it sounded super nice! Yard waste is much more fun to watch when it’s a mixture of carts and bags set out too. Really neat trucks!

I thought it was quite cool between the rarity of the body and that nice old Mack growl too, and that Curotto was pretty dang fast as well. I really wish I got more of the Heil but oh well haha I’m with you on that one though, routes like this with a mix of manual and automated collection are very entertaining. I do not think this is a Century series, the body would look completely different and the packer would resemble that of a side loader (Like a Curbtender). The arms however, are the same Gen II arms used on the Century model. As to the truck, that is one mean sounding bulldog! I have always been a huge fan of the sound of the E7 engine. Those clouds of smoke also complete the experience as I can imagine the smell of fresh diesel exhaust. That Autocar also sounded good too!

This one is in fact a Century Series, you can tell by the rails on top of the body and the bracing. The E7 is one of my favorite engines too, and this thing could puff out quite a bit of smoke haha I was pretty happy to find that Autocar too! Thanks for the comment!

@@MidwestTrashTrucks wow. The oldest truck in my yard is a 1991 pete 310 leach ex. Wmx. The second oldest is a 1995 7k. They all last resort. It’s insane how the sound in teh engine on the LEs from 05 to 06. Sounds so much different
