Those blue veins for me were the point were the point that this went from "yeah, the paint job is coming along nicely" to "take that thing away from me" It was a really smart move to go with feint but lines that looked like unhealthy blood vessels under the skin. The more obvious move to paint bold veins on top of the skin wouldn't have been nearly as uncanny.

Gotta say, I been there. Quite a few models of mine have some bad or painful memories attached to them from ex-partners and relationships. It's not like you can just throw them away either, they just remind you of something you once had and desperately miss, taunting you almost. Or as a reminder of how low you've been before, maybe how low you'll go again. None of them have yeasty tongues though. Yuck.

I'm just beginning, but for veins, I have really enjoyed the results from painting them on the base coast pretty dark, then glazing the final flesh tone and highlights over them. REALLY makes them look like they're under the skin.

Is there something specific about blood for the blood god +Uhu glue, or would that have worked with some Nurgles rot? Is it any of the GW gloss paints? Will it work with non gloss paints, what about other brands, what about inks or contrast? I'm both legit curious about why you only went with that as a blood effect and didn't use it for a related slime effect, but then I started wondering on exactly what are the technical limits for this technique... also much like those bases mixing up a dozen or more paints with UHU to gross something up seems like a reasonably fast and low effort video idea.

Can't speak for Nurgelrot, but most Citadel paints (the only ones i had at the time) work just fine. I also remember using regular, Sekundenkleber gel Form and flexibel all for different uses but ca't remember what did what. Hope that helps. :]

Listen to me now. I have just been left by my partner of 6 years. It was mostly mutual, but the all-too-common "I've found someone else" speech. I went to the gym to get my Kharn arms goin, listening to majorkill talk about some idiotic lore theories. The video ended, im in my feels coming to the end of my workout, worrying about not having anything to do to keep me out of my own mind at that time. Then, some guy starts talking about a nurgle tank. I didn't recognise his voice at first, but kept the video goin. When he said something akin to: "What you've come to expect from midwinter minis" and it all came flooding back, THAT guy! -the guy who I saw a few incredible videos of before, the one making the thicc unclean one. As I was driving, this video was on the whole way home. To cut a long story short. Not only do I relate (in a very small part) the feeling you associated with the old tank, but, I appreciate the transformation of that reminder into something.....in it's own way, Beautiful ❤
