When the first sled go down the hill they vanish out of sight. And when they vanish they put the brakes on to almost to a stop. So when he comes down the hill to see the people infront has stoped it is to late to be able to avoid a crash. Reading other comments, he said some bad things. I had the audio realy low and didnt pay atention to the sound so i didnt catch he said something. He could had been more foresighted about hiden curves and slopes, to slow down because you don't know if the rail is free from obstacles or not.

There were lots of braking signs on the track. (At least 4 in the section of the impact... The ones with the exclamation mark "bremsen - frenare") You're not supposed to do a full stop but you're not supposed to rush down the track without braking either. Alpine Coasters are family rides aswell. So everyone should be respectful to others, especially children. So if you are a speed-freak not willing to brake for families and children, this one isn't for you.

For those interested, this is what the guy with the camera wrote when this was first uploaded: Me crashing on an alpine coaster in Austria. Went to Insbruck hospital after as I did my back in. Things you missed in the video. 1) Your not allowed to stop on the slope for any reason 2) The father thought it was a good idea to stop on the slope 4 times 3) I had a massive queue of people behind me because of the plebs in front. 4) I had waited a year to do this slope, gave them plenty of time to get some distance, they where clearly waiting to annoy me. 5) It was a rage quit where the only way was down !! He was clearly using his kids as bate, they where collateral in his little games. On the way to the start we all shared the same gondola, I explained to him I had been waiting almost a year to do the slope. You can see him laughing as he gets the kid out of the coaster at the end.

Someone should have explained to that girl that it's an extremely bad idea to just throw on the brakes with that many steep drops and sharp turns she could have easily gotten her back broken. Stupid on both their parts. More-so on his for not acting like an adult. Less-so on her part for not riding the ride correctly with appropriate braking/slowing down.

You are not supposed to stop on these rides for any puirpose, for this exact reason. When you are travelling down a highway in a car, do you slam on your brakes and come to a complete stop, and then rage at the person who inevitably rear ends you? I don't think so.

***** We all have an obligation to drive our vehicles responsibly. Unless there are witnesses to say otherwise, the majority of the time the rear vehicle ends up at fault. Yes, brake checking is illegal, but driving cautiously and having to stop in a hurry at times is perfectly legal. And there are plenty of assholes out there willing to to act like this guy in their vehicles. Always challenging people, tailgating, trying to force people in to complying to their way of driving. But they rarely actually slam in to somebody out of spite. So, enough of the fucking pointless strawman. This guy is a prick and a no brake attempt has no place on this ride unless he informs the operator he wants a clear track for his turn and just waited before he went. I'm sure this prick couldn't have handled that either, having to wait for anyone or anything is beneath him!

You have to watch the whole thing not just the snip from other sites, he is angry because she keeps slowing down and "ruining" his ride. At one point he runs into her and is so enraged he clearly states he is going to ram her "that bitch". He clearly stops several times during the ride proving he has complete control over the speed of the car. His actions are completely deliberate there is no excuse for it he could have seriously hurt her with forces worse than a car accident due to no back or neck support. I am very surprised the guy in front (the father?) didn't assault this idiot.

You can google the story. He was an unstable fella. The family convoy in front of him stopped many times, the innocent young girl infront of him sadly had to suffer his wrath of something she couldn’t control because it was her father who slowed down for photos. The guy should have instead kept his cool and taken another ride later, perhaps complaining and getting another ride for free. She was knocked unconscious for a while.

Devil's advocate; this guy isn't entirely blameless. This is a ride where you're meant to go fast and not hit the brakes. You can see at 1:13, 2:43, 3:37, 4:40 - and the big hit at 5:00 - The dad in front is braking for god knows what reason (taking in the sights?), and this guy has to quickly hit the brakes to stop an accident. At 3:10, he actually gets hit _himself_ which is where anyone would really start to get pissed off I'd imagine. The big hit at 5:05 has _another_ sudden stop, and this time he can't brake in time at all. The people braking up front are putting everyone behind them at risk of a huge accident. Just imagine how infuriating it would be to have someone brake-check you on the motorway, except you don't have the benefit of a car full of safety devices that ensure only your car would get busted up in case of a hit. The only innocent is the poor girl who's stuck in-between the people dawdling in front and this guy behind.

Parents, protect your kids, put them in front of you. Explain to them that trains have to run on time or someone may get rear-ended. Added expense, yet this attraction would benefit a designated fast lane. Cameras could help prevent bottle-necking with better timed departures. Policy consideration, when someone not in your party brings you to a dead stop, offer a complimentary 2nd no charge ride. Help prevent alpine alpine slide-rage.
