Great video. Thanks for posting it. Saved me the time and money to take it to the repair shop.

My reason for taking it apart is the hose connection would not release from the upright position. I could not get the cover off with it upright, but somehow I pried it off. The problem seemed to be the piece you put your foot on was scraping so I filed it a bit. I cleaned out the inside as suggested and added some silicone spray lubricant on the latch, applied with a paper towel. All is good now and thanks for posting the video.

Nice video. 👍 I would avoid the drill so as not to damage the plastic threads. This Miele design is awful, making it near impossible to regularly clean out the thing. My prior low-end Miele came apart very easily, but this fancy one is ridiculous.

Thanks for these two videos. They helped me fix an issue with the clear plastic+ spring piece that locks in place to hold the vacuum handle upright. Do you by chance know what the piece is called?

Depends on the year. Mine had a T10 also, but it's newer than the one shown in the video, as that one has a F8T5 fluorescent bulb and mine has LEDs.

This isn't hard. Even I did it, when my vacuum guy blew me off. I needed to replace the foot petal that lowers the head so you can vacuum. You can get the screws out with a tiny allen wrench that is used in the Belkin AirTag holder, the kind that says it needs a "key" to be unlocked, and has a silver loop at the top. I also found the MulWark 6 piece screwdriver bit set, about $9 on Amazon helpful. It has a 2.0 mm (-) PH00 (+) 2.4 MM (-) PH0 3 MM and PH1 set. I use that tiny screwdriver set to tighten doorknobs, handles, etc., and it's a lot quicker than the "real" screwdriver set I got at Lowes. A lot of hidden hair near the rotary belt that makes the brush roll rotate. Did not notice that at first. Look there, get seam rippers.

Is that normal if the yellow (little round button) stays on? Your video has lots of (different tools needed a number of screws changes). Best advice: Take it in!!!!!!!

Ridiculously difficult to clean. Who has a T10 laying around. Horrible design.

Thanks for the T10 info. We were trying to figure out what we needed to buy. We didn’t have one laying around either.
