We still haven't replaced ours, and it still works and sucks like the day it was new - it might even be better with modern synthetic bags and filters. It's large, heavy and noisy - but its fairly compact standing up, the bags take forever to fill up and the suction power is great - replacing it with anything noticeably better just costs way too much. Instead we have supplemented it with an electrolux ergorapido, so that we don't have to carry the miele up and down the stairs all the time

Hey, Flim., I have the very same vacuum cleaner Grey SilverStar. Instead of taking mine from the closet it is kept in, I have, ten years ago, lengthened the hose to 7 meters total. I leave the vacuum in the closet, (switched on by a power point I had installed in that closet). I can vacuum the whole of the required areas without having to pick-up the vacuum cleaner, which became too heavy for me, after surgery ten years ago. . Works very well, sucks up everything. I an even reach the mattress to vacuum it on sheet changing day. . Have A Nice Day ! A
