20:32 is probably the most balanced spin I’ve ever seen
@MieleTouchtronic3 ай бұрын
After having a Miele, watching any other washing machine try to balance a load is absolutely infuriating - some machines literally take 10+ minutes to figure out what to do with a heavy load, and if if they manage to spin without giving up, it sounds like the entire machine is going to explode. Not a concern with a Miele. :-)

If you set it to heavy soiling, on sanitize, waterplus and extend the wash, how long would it take?
@MieleTouchtronic12 жыл бұрын
There is no soak option, however you can do a pre-wash, let it fill up and get mixed, then turn the machine off. The machine has memory as long as it stays plugged in while turned off. Once you switch it back on, it continues the cycle. I've even done this overnight before.

When it's an inter spin, did it spin because the first inter spin didn't spin.
@bennoahdawson54743 жыл бұрын
An interim spin is a low spin between the wash and rinse cycle. Mainly used to drain the suds out of the drum and laundry to make the rinsing a bit easier. The main spin is at the end of the rinse. The pre-wash and main-wash drain cycles could be classified as interims.

But why is the highest temperature it does only 70° Celcius? Does it not have an electric heater element inside and relys on a hot water supply like most North American top loaders? Every Miele I have ever seen (well any European washing machine actually) does 95 °C or at least 90.
@MieleTouchtronic5 жыл бұрын
We only have 120 volt service in the US, so we only get 1 heating element instead of the European versions with 2. I think the heating element in mine is about 1080 watts, I forget the exact wattage but it’s just over 1000 watts.
@martinweizenacker71295 жыл бұрын
@@MieleTouchtronic I see, that makes sense. =) Yes, 230-240 Volt washing machines usually draw around 2300 Watts. But 70°C isn't too bad, it's enough to properly kill all bacteria, house dust mites, and probably most viruses and fungus too.

@MieleTouchtronic3 жыл бұрын
This is one of the reasons I hated every other washer I owned. You can adjust some of the water level options in the washers programming to make it used even more water. If I had to guess, a few of the cycles probably use 75-100 gallons. Some of the new washers use so little water there is no way they can possibly clean as well.
@bennoahdawson54743 жыл бұрын
@@MieleTouchtronic It's HE (High Efficiency) technology. HE detergent creates a smaller amount of suds that are easily rinsed out. The water level is cut down to about 40 - 60%.
@MieleTouchtronic2 жыл бұрын
I see the benefit of that but the problem is when you have a big comforter or something in one of those huge HE top loaders, I’ve seen it where the blanket never even got wet on the top and still had detergent where it was poured in. There is hardly any rollover of items compared to a front loader.

Because your videos have inspired me to put text descriptions of the cycle but iMovie doesn't seem to have the text colours/effects you have. Thanks, KingOfMiele.
