It sounds like the model with the power head might be the best choice because you can still use the turbohead, which will not be so hard on your carpet. Power heads are notorious for being hard on carpets. But I purchased the C3 complete cat and dog (Autumn red) which doesn’t have the choice of a power head and was finally affordable. I do miss being able to switch off the machine from the handle, which I had with my Smart central vac in our previous home., and which you presumably get with power head Miele models, but I’ll get used to using a foot controlled switch. We went to central vac in the days when the canister and similar machines had nowhere near the power of a good central system. It’s no longer like that.

Indeed, electric power nozzles can be too aggressive for SOME delicate rugs, even despite the wide range of adjustments that can be made to make them work more gently. But it's super convenient to be able to switch off their power right at your thumbtip! Turbos do work really well for what they are, but true, it's a bummer they can't be stopped. They are very affordable though.... so it's great that you were still able to get a premium-level C3 Miele! Not sure where you're based, but the model package you have is different than what we have in America.... our C3 cat & Dog models are white, and do come with an electric power nozzle (as it's the most sure way to get up all the dog hair!) But I think you'll still do fine... especially since these units are indeed powerful now like central vacs! And you'll most definitely get used to her controls in time. In the UK we hardley get canisters with electric moter head. We mostly get suction only or air driven. Also do you recommend shark vacuums

Conor Riddell I know Rachel and John very well (the owners). I would be sure they mmaaaayyyy not recommend them since there is not one shark product on display. I’m pretty sure they sell parts for them though. Don’t take my word for it.

EU 900 watt limit is to blame. Unfortunately, cheap to manufacture mains-powered GaN driven BLDC vacuum cleaner motors are not quite a thing yet. EU should've gone with a more reasonable limit such as 1500 watts or at least 1200 watts.
