Actually no. As most Americans and British people, he pronounces the second "e" as an "a". It's "Meele", not "Meela".

Good review. My grandparents in Germany loved Miele and whenever I'm there, I value their quality. Miele in North America is on my permanent 'no' list because of their attitude toward customer service. I needed the manual for an 11 year old hob. They told me they didn't keep parts or documents for 'older' products. I called Miele in Munich, the sent me the link and I had the manual two minutes later. Never had trouble with European Miele and, were we to move to Europe (retirement someday!) I'd set up house with their products. In the US? I have to regard anything they sell here as expensive throw-away stuff.

Today, I got the Soniclean WhisperJet C2 Turbo brush (rebranded Wessel Werk TK 286 STB305-3) for my Miele S528. It fit the wand perfectly. Of course, it doesn't park on my Miele because I have an old machine but that's OK, the Miele STB-305-3 brush won't fit either. All of that aside, I can't believe how incredible the Soniclean Turbo brush works on my low pile area rug. For 15 years I've been using the Miele combo floor/carpet tool. I've never used a beater brush on my carpet. I can't believe how much more dirt I pick up now with the Soniclean. It's a simple, ingenious, efficient, and amazing tool. Thank you for all of your help! Now I want to get the Soniclean WhisperJet C2 Technik Floor Tool. I have a question? I used the Soniclean Turbo brush on my wood floors and it worked brilliantly too. Do you think, however, that the Turbo brush would ruin the finish on my hardwood floors over time? Thank you.

Had one of these with my CX1 for a couple of years. Kinda interested why you think it's for low pile carpets and what should be used on thicker carpets instead. It's a great brush but absolutely a pain to clean my fiancee's hair and the cat's fluff from it. Have to have take scissors and cut it out.

For thicker carpets you want to use an electric power nozzle. Like the SEB228. The additional torque of an electric motor and manual height adjustment make a huge difference in cleaning ability.

Is opening the vent a better option than turning down the motor?

Since the tool is powered by the airflow of the machine, opening the vent allows for the brush to spin faster since it lets more air into the turbine. If you turn down the machine, you get less airflow, so the turbine spins slower and may not even work at all. So when using a turbo tool, yes, using the vent on the turbine head is better than turning down the vacuum itself.

I own a Miele and I would like to get the TurboTeQ Turbo Brush, however, I like the simple look of the Wessel-Werk TK286 much more. Could I use an adaptor with the 286 on my Miele? What about the Soniclean WhisperJet C2 Turbo Carpet Brush? Will this work on my Miele S528 without an adapter?

So, we have a lot of hardwood flooring and 4 rooms with low pile carpeting. Our power head brush for the S2121 has died. I understand this does not have the power connector. Which brushhead should we get to replace? Should we buy two attachments? So confusing!

See your local dealer a S2122 should have a power Port but a C1 will not

I love my CX. It has a powerful vacuum. HOWEVER, it is not working for Samoyed fur. In under 5 minutes of cleaning the hairs jam up the bristles and stops rotating. I've taken the entire assembly apart more time that I care to remember. It just isn't designed for pet hair. Miele support is of no help. If you have a Samoyed, this is not the cleaner for you.

For lots of pet hair you should buy model with a SEB228 electric power brush. Not a turbo.
