Marloes had better technique, but Miesha had more of a killer instinct; and that's what won out.

Killer instinct cannot be over stated. It makes all the difference.

young Miesha Tate became the champion at 24 years old, and just last month she just won fight at 37 years old still fighting in the UFC. 💪

I've always liked Miesha Tate! She has a lot of class and deserves all she accomplished. Whereas rousey has always been a spoilt bitch.😅

I still remember when Dana White said in a press conference in 2015 that Miesha Tate needs to retire and called her a "f**king has-been". That was a serious dick-move. Best revenge: Miesha is still around and still very relevant. She won her fight on Dec. 2, 2023 (she submitted Julia Avila, face crank), got Performance of the Night, and is now 20-9 (which means her winning-percentage is .700). Suck on that, Dana.

That fight was garbage if we're being honest. Way too much bear hugging, and I LOVE Miesha!!! But that BJJ submission at the end was beautiful. The set-up was classic Miesha skillset, very impressive.

Neither of these 2 would provide a respectable challenge against the retired 2023 Champion .. Amanda Nunes. Amanda Nunes would slaughter them. Even at their best peak strenghts, in their prime. Amanda Nunes would dispatch both combatants easily. Rhonda Rousey easily dominated these 2 in the Octagon during that era. Which was at the beginning of its infancy stage of female UFC contenders. Rhonda enjoyed dominating this Championship Class for a lengthy period. Rhonda was highly skilled in Judo techniques and applications. Which rewarded her in easily dominating the Championship. Basically unchallenged. Due to her dominate, grappling style. Resulting in multiple wins. Due to the opposition, contenders tapping out by voluntary submission on multiple occasions. Often quickly, & regularly. Such was the nature of her dominance In this weight class. Rumors circulating stated that the UFC owner Dana White. Tactfully marketed the Rhonda Rousey brand to promote women's combat sports and interest globally. To generate interest in a untapped market globally of potential female fan's and supporters. To also target globally female UFC contender interest. The marketing strategy and goals were successful and quickly grew into profits and a potential growth interest globally. Interest and profits continued in growth as predicted. Amanda Nunes whom was a new bred of next level Pros. A stronger, powerful, athletic, killer striker hits the UFC scene. Rhonda Rousey was not ready for this new type of hardened fighters. She was taken by surprise and was totally smashed, dominated and easily outclassed, viciously beaten up and was convincingly slaughtered. It was a rapid, relentless brutal offensive attack with pin-point, precision, masterful striking accuracy. The vicious beating that Rhonda Rouse received from Amanda Nunes is rumored to have forced Rhonda into early voluntary retirement from UFC. Dana White knew Rhonda Rousey World Champion days had come to end. Basically spat her and moved on with the new World Champion Amanda Nunes. Giving his total support, attention and interest to promoting Amanda Nunes as the new face of the UFC Female World Champion. And life goes on ...
