This young man is getting the same great experience that Aiden got this summer. You can tell that he is soaking up all the things that Chad is telling him. His enthusiasm is fun to watch. He is respectful as well which is a nice thing to see in anyone. I’ve been in a trade for over 45 years and have had many apprentices . That look on his face when he made his first weld is a look I’ve seen many times over the years ,when someone makes their first repair or weld or what ever it may be that you are learning. @@blakestone8088 I'm an HVAC guy. We do brazing. It's the same in all trades when an apprentice accomplishes something for the first time. You just see the joy in their eyes. I've only ever done stick welding. My uncle was a boilermaker. Worked with him a summer or two when I was a kid. He's 84 now and I'm 65. Twinkle in our eyes now is likely cataracts.

I learned how to weld when i was seven years old in my Dads shop I spent my teenage years working in a body shop welding sheet metal in my 30s i was working in a fab shop building frames for train cars in my 40s i worked as a truck tech building truck bodys and stretching truck frame ect in my 50 and 60s i was a welder fabricator for a large meat company welding sanitary tubing and equipment ect . i have been doing it for 55 year but i still like watching other people welding or learning to it has been a great experience for me .

Welding is somewhat of an art form some people can learn and some can't, either way, practice is the key.

its not an art form , there isn't room for artistic licence, it a process that has a right way and a wrong way, if you are very good at it you become robotic, not artistic.

Great teaching of how to weld for a beginner. I bought a welder many years ago to repair my cars started with a stick welder, not easy on a car to do but once I got my mig welder I could make or repair anything, plus once others know you can weld you can make your money back by doing jobs for others. Great video more people should have a go at welding

Great teacher. I wished i had a teacher like that. Great job. As for engine not centered ,you are 100 % true. In my 1978 corvette the engine is 1.5 inches more on the passenger side to accommodate the 3rd pedal on manual cars. Very inspiring.

I'm learning a lot here... I have the same machine its 3 yrs. old and i love it... Also have a 1964 Lincoln AC welder... Stick unit but never knew how to weld Sheetmetal the right way. None of the build shows video this part of the process Ive been doing it wrong a long time
