First time commenting. I loved this episode!! The different portions. Austin’s humor with his unnamed deer, makes me giggle and I enjoy him participating as much as he is comfortable. Thank you for sharing your life with us!!!

Perhaps next year, you can have a vegetable garden ? My children loved, planting and watching them grow, then transplanting. Eventually I was able to show them when they were ready to pick & we could enjoy them with our dinner. Each year then my children would ask, what are we planting that we can eat ! It was a memorable time in their lives. Now they do it with their children. I miss those days. Each spring that’s what I think of, “ what are we planting that we can eat”!

ZINNIA is an easy flower to grow, and has a long vase life. And they are cut and come again so many blooms to pick ALL SPRING SIMMER AND FALL!!! YAY they also self seed so the last blossoms in fall on the plant can be seed for your next garden season.

My ears perked up when you said "21 Day Fix". I've been doing home workouts with Bodi for a year. I've had great results. I hope you'll like it as much as I do! I especially like the versatility of working out at home on my timeline. Plus, I like switching to a different program each month. I live in MT, my coach/friend is in ND, and we are part of a great group of supportive women in the Ottawa, Canada area. I'll be watching your journey!

I planted three one quart purple verbena in a small flower bed it was around 11’x2’ and within a month those three plants filled up that flower bed, they were so beautiful! One day I saw a neighbor walk up towards my house, then stop and turn her face around to her friends sitting in lawn chairs on her driveway and shout Verbena! I cracked up, they must have all been wondering what that beautiful flower out doing itself in my flowerbed was! So if you have a really sunny spot you can’t go wrong with Verbena.

Put some soil in a clear plastic cup then have them place seeds on the side. That way the can see the roots growing!

Joy, that was a great idea for the planters. I may try using lids too. And wildflowers are a good selection, as I prefer flowers to not look “perfect”.🌺
@AlishaH-fo8qv2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, the lid is too shallow and doesn't have enough room for the root system. You better try something deeper, even by just a little would be better.

@A-G5518Ай бұрын
Those coneflowers need a good period of cold before they'll bloom so they may not bloom until next season... You definitely need drainage holes or your roots will rot. They all need heat/humidity to germinate so you can have better success if you cover the lids with plastic wrap, and then remove the plastic wrap once you have about 50% germination. ❤ Just hope to help a bit 😊

Been trying to lose weight too Joy I start with avocado on mini Melba toast for breakfast , after a usually 14-16 hour fast. It holds me over till my dinner about 6-7 hour later . I cut out sugar to using honey or monk fruit, and cut out potatoes rice and pasta. And I did fast walk 3-5 times week. I manage to lose8 lbs over 9weeks mind you 5 was after 2 weeks! But most noticeable was inch off chest and under half inch off waist and hips. I decided once week I can have one starch . I with weather warming maybe I’ll give more time to walking and add few yoga moves. Good luck .

Austin, here is how I learned to not only like pecans & all other nuts. My Mom had made a german Chocolate Cake with a double recipe of frosting totally covering the whole cake. I cut a huge slice of cake, poured a large glass of milk and sat down to enjoy my breakfast. I took a bite of cake and sort of sucked the cake away from the nuts then put the nuts on my dessert plate, and repeated the process. Around the third time I did that my Mom told me that I couldn’t have any more desserts with nuts if I was going to waste the nuts, and right there in our small house in Artesia, NM a miracle happened to this then 13 yo girl…..she (I) began to love nuts! 😂 True story. 😂😂😂

You are never too young for a haircut. Getting those wispy uneven hairs off creates a good environment for good strong, healthy hair to grow. And for evening everything up. Not allowing things to get damaged by rubbed on blakents, even lil fingers or bedsheets etc. that could cause breakage. Cut all three of my kiddos (hairdresser here 34+years). Non of mine were scared of their any haircuts at any age because I started early. My baby who is now 18+ he started in my bathroom sink watching me. Oh how I miss those days! 😭

I think the reason people start seeds in small containers is so that they can keep they inside until they're strong enough to go in the ground. I think thats what she was trying to do but missed the keep inside part. If its mild enough outside, you can just skip that step and put them directly in the ground next time 🙂
