What a commentator, covered every aspect of life, an educator in the true sense.

One of the greatest exponents of double entendre in Trinidad and Tobago calypso music, yet never smutty. You could actually use his commentaries as a timeline of Trinidad & Tobago's social history of sorts although you will need a Trinidadian to interpret for you. He is able to say so much without actually saying it. It would have been nice to hear "Devaluation" among these gems by Chalkie.

this is not an attack on Cro Cro. What the message here is that the politicians and others afraid of Cro Cro. Chalkie, the master that he is, has penned this song in a beautiful and satirical way as only he can. those persons don't want anything to do with Cro Cro, who is a torment in their sides. With watchman gone, there is really no one else who get under the skins of these corrupt people. Nice work IsDePaninMe. I am bajan and i truly adore the calypsoes from TnT. The best in the world.

great to find some Mighty Chalkdust, I have his 1974? album with 'Black Inventions', andhis take on the Jonestown massacre. Over here in Moss Side, UK, there's not a lot of trinis, but a small calypso/ska/reggae/soca scene, one band searching out mento. there's so much rubbish that people opt for that rather than searching out the gems like this. Is the 'attack' on Cro Cro old style taking the piss out of fellow calypsonians? hard to get the nuances for me, but he is a giant - more calypso!!

Lol!! -- For the persons stating that Chalkie; was making a scathing attack on Cro Cro; obviously don't understand the song or have no concept of calypso. Listen deeply and attentively.

great to find some Mighty Chalkdust! i have the 1974? album with 'Black Inventions'. I don't understand a lot of this story, but Mr Liverpool is usually on the side of the people against corrupt politicians and lunacy generally - a very clever guy. Taking the piss out of other kaisonians seems typical? Here in Moss Side UK it's more reggae, but there are soca/calyso/ska/ even mento audiences, not enough regular gigs, and people listen to crap instead of searching for history and gems like this.Ta
