Hi there, I bought 85% cotton 15% polyester yarns in 3 colours to crochet a mile a minute bedspread for my queen size bed. My problem is each one of my first three strips vary in length. However each FIRST finished length of "1st pat of pattern" has 144 rows. How on earth are they all in different lengths. I am so disappointed. I hope someone can assist me. Tx Sue

Why do you act like that? It is really goofy. We would all appreciate it if you video instructors cultivated a professional manner and kept your instructional video intros to Hi, I'm so&so and I'll teach you x,y,z. Then do it. Thanks. Hope to see improvement next time I tune in.

@@stevemalan7264 it's been awhile but nobody seems to be answering you. Perhaps your tension is changing as you crochet? Mine sometimes changes a bit if I keep working after I'm tired. Also, it could be the yarn. Yarns sometimes relax as we work, esp as the skein gets smaller and looser. Have you tried crocheting on a table top? It keeps the yarn from stretching due to the weight of the project as it grows. Hope this helps. Happy hooking.🙋

Years ago I made a mile-a-minute blanket for a new nephew (he’s 18 now and still loves it). My dad remarked at how lovely it was, so I made him one in his size. He had to move town for a job while the rest of us packed up to join him later, and he took that mile-a-minute blanket over the dozens of my mom’s gorgeous quilts. Now that my dad has passed on, this is one of my sweetest memories of him. He always appreciated and encouraged my crochet work. 💕

Ya know what’s so nice about calendar Blankets? It forces me to slow down and enjoy it. Idk if other crafters are like this but as soon as I start a project I rush to finish it because I want the “finished product” here already. And by the time I’m done I have cramping hands and I’m in pain. This forces me to go slow because no matter how fast I stitch, I’m not gonna see the finished product till December. So between anxiety and other things, I’m truly thankful for a project like this. Thank you so much. I'm building my stash, so I picked a beautiful combo of icy blues for my January strip. I went ahead and bought my February yarns - some adorable pinks! I'm getting ready to get some greens for March! I'm literally going to be building my idea of a calendar with this blanket!!! Thanks for doing this!!

I just wanted to say thank you Jayda! I've been in a slump lately and I lost my "crojo". But I watched you're video today (1/19/21) and you got me motivated again! I was going to wait to this until after my surgery next month to start working on this blanket but I changed my mind thanks to you. I love how you just got me out of my funk and I appreciate it very much.

I'm so new to crochet that when she was talking about the yarn weights and hook sizes all I heard were the adults from the Charlie Brown movies.

Hi! Your yarn label will have the weight category information on it and your hooks will have their size written on them (usually near the end) Welcome to the woolly world of crochet * waaaa waaa wa wa waaaa* 😁
