What's neat about VR Troopers toys is that some of the vehicles are recycled from other lines. The vehicle shown at around the 6:44 mark is originally from COPS N CROOKS while another vehicle was a repurposed GI JOE FIREBAT with weapons from ALIENS vehicles. I think the first time I heard of Power Rangers was seeing the 8" figures at Kay-Bee Toys. I don't believe we had Fox locally yet, so we weren't able to see the show. Billy was the first figure I got from Power Ranger before the series aired. I remember not having a clue what it was but he looked really cool. But then I remember when Fox kids aired a sneak preview episode after X-Men one Saturday morning during the early summer and it blew my MIND lol. I wanted EVERYTHING Power Rangers related lol. Luckily, my mom was an early shopper so I was able to get most of the Power Rangers figures before the craze blew up and it was impossible to find anything Power rangers related lol. I still remember the time when My mom and I went to Toys R Us and she asked the employee if they had the new Green Ranger figure and he got it from the back (mind you, he just came out during his Green with Evil saga lol). Shortly after, a couple of parents rushed over to my mom asking her where did she get the Green Ranger from. All my mom did was smiled and point "in the back the guy has two boxes." man I've never seen parents run so fast to the employee lol. Awwww good times lol.

So there's some really interesting interaction between the US remakes and their original Tokusatsu counterparts, from the sequel to Gridman airing recently being literally called "SSSS.Gridman", a callback to Superhuman, to a parody sentai show making fun of the "american rangers" which were just red and green from MM wearing american flag belts. I'd do some research on the original toku shows that these came from, you'll find that nearly all of them are often significantly better than their US counterparts and are often shockingly adult in theme. Also! VR Troopers ran out of original footage to make more episodes significantly earlier than everyone else, because it wasn't based on a single toku show, but actually a crossover movie! They only had roughly 30 mins of actual "stock" footage that they could use!!!

I grew up playing with Power Ranger bootlegs that looked like the "WR Wild Rangers" at 10:14. They were sold at Family Dollar for $1, but they had a different name, Alien Empire: Alien Warriors Galaxy Warriors. There were 7 of them, with green and pink sharing the same mold. They had weapons but they were too small to fit in their hands properly. I didn't find out until a few years ago they were recalled due to the manufacturer using lead paint on them.

I have my original 8 inch power rangers but some say made in China on the back and some say made in Malaysia. Are they both genuine always wondered

If I made a knockoff Power Rangers toyline, I'll call it Teenage Primebrid Warriors

9:38 had these wild rangers as a kid. they were so much more fun to play with than official stiff PR toys

So as a kid i was obsessed with power rangers, however my family couldn't afford much so most of my early toy stuff came from our local thrift store. I remember one day finding this knockoff power ranger (my 6 year old self had no idea what a knock off was and just assumed it was some ranger from a season i hadnt seen) it was this black metallic ranger, but what really got me was when light hit it, it had this rainbowy shine to it (it reminded me of a puddle of water with gasoline in it) and i just thought that was the coolest thing ever. Sad to say that bootleg figure was taken away by older siblings and thrown away.

For my power rangers bootleg toys I would call them powerful rangers something along those lines
