Taking aside Austin's legal troubles, it does suck that he isn't present. At least Steve Cardenas actually gets to do something this time around, compared to the fat lot of nothing in the 25th Anniversary Special. I'm not at all surprised that Amy Jo Johnson didn't come back. Aside from apparently disliking the offer that was presented to her, I believe Johnny Yong Bosch had remarked in the past that Amy doesn't really want anything to do with Power Rangers unless it benefits her.

This looks better than I thought it would. How they handle Trini and Trini Kwan passing is not how I expected it to be handles. Stakes are high. Going to try and have a watch party with friends the Friday after it premiers. Also: They rebuilt the juice bar! I couldn't believe it.

Judging what I got from the trailer seems like the OG team Billy Zack Trini Kimberly Jason Tommy will be on a mission where Rita kills Trini.... then after that Rocky and Kat comes back to help Billy and Zack... also Rita building a time portale to go back in time and kill them before Zordon made them Rangers is really smart... and the Casting for Trinis daughter is really good

With Robo Rita, I wonder if this will also lead into a possible Power Rangers Zeo movie special for Netflix. If they could somehow explain the absence of Tommy, hopefully if things worked out, maybe they could somehow have Austin St. John become Zeo Ranger 5 Red and assume the ranger role as a tribute.

It’s not an awful idea, and in a way it would pay tribute to JDF, or the other idea was to introduce his son to step in and take on the role, but if that were to happen, it just seems like it would only copy the current MMPR special. And even though ASJ cannot currently leave the country, there could be ways where he could be able to film his scenes in the U.S.

One thing. Billy straight up can't morph. He got disconnected from the morphin grid when he separated the Zeo Crystal. I doubt even the Master Morphers could solve that.

Billy lost his ability to morph after absorbing an excessive amount of "negative proton molecules" back when the Command Center blew up at the end of the MMPR series. He explains it in Zeo, as his reason for why he cannot become the Gold Ranger. That aside, modern Power Rangers very rarely cares about what was established in the first six seasons. As demonstrated by the likes of most of the veteran crew in Super Ninja Steel's 'Dimensions In Danger', or Jason's return in the Beast Morphers episode 'Grid Connection', characters will return with the ability to do things that they shouldn't be able to do, for the sake of making the plot at hand work.

@@ImpulseKidEntertainment it wasn't the fact he couldn't morph, he just couldn't take on the Gold Ranger powers. The Gold Ranger powers required a specific build and their power source couldn't interact with Billy. He specifically said that what happened resists the Gold Ranger powers.

@@davantebarbain3216 Her, and Zedd, turning good happened 25 years ago then she was in Mystic Force 17 years ago for a scene because her original Japanese actress was in the original version and she had recently died so they made the character the good version of Rita. I don't know when the current Zedd was plucked out of time so he might not have known her yet.
